PV ,
have U tried that Yucca Gold yet ? it's Coco gro's best friend
it's yucca shingridalia (sp) powder used in many human vitamins & used in joint comfort pills
even in my old dogs joint cure pill
It's used in coco as a wetting agent & a bio catylist (for lack of a better term ) in teas
It Does foam as any wetting agent is actually meant to do . so not sure about Deep water & res's
but it allows the coco to get wet quicker & more even , helps prevent that crust that can form
Yucca is also alot like aloe as it's healing & preventive properties have been used for decades by the S/W indians

I have used yucca in the past when folier feeding but I haven't used it this run. I'm doing it best to try and keep things as simple as possible with the new light, trying to limit the variables... :)

Week three of flower done, start of week four. Also it's been one full week of 730nm lighting with the 13.5/10.5 schedule. These girls are all kicking bud sites out everywhere. Vegging them as long as I did then cloning really had them ready to flower. The 13.5 hours of the light at 100% has definitely made them hungrier for sure. My favorite Peak Kush Berry pheno is looking like a cotton ball factory at this point. The Mandala Hashberry is plugging along and filling in as well. Pics go Kush Berry, Hashberry, group shot.... :) IMAG0915.jpg IMAG0925.jpg IMAG0924.jpg

Gorgeous girls man. Classic Kush leaves. So you started 730nm after week 2? And do you mean you're running the far red monos for just 10-15 min's at start and end of light cycle or the whole time?

Thank you, yes the far reds started at the end of week two with the change in lighting schedule from 12/12 to 13.5/10.5. The far reds are only used at the end of the light cycle for 5 minutes in my set up. I'm following @captainmorgan in the way he has used far red to influence his flowering. Since the first two weeks is mostly vegetative growth and the last two are ripening and flush it makes scene to me to push the middle four weeks with the most light possible.

Also I made a mistake, tonight is the end of week three beginning of week four. I lost track and didn't check my calendar till this morning. Just jumping the gun I guess... :)

I would wait another week before defoliation maybe more...!
Is anyone tried 730nm for vegg?
It should shorten vegg too no?
Use it all along would shorten the entire grow if it help plants to "sleep" faster!?!?

good on u ,the space filed up nice,u planning on defoliating a bitt ? these indica look like they could use some.(:
Thank you, I never have defoliated much before. How would you recommend doing so. I have trimmed all the weaker stuff off the bottoms of the plants. I do have a lot of air moving through the tent, the tent changes air close to twice a minute. In the past the Hashberry has stretched more under hps and the arms pushed further through the canopy. Hashberry was never a big stretcher mainly just grows bud sites on top of bud site till it's a 2.5 - 3 foot tall totem of solid bud starting with a 8" th 10" vegged Clone. She likes the cobs but is growing differently then with hps. Maybe she needs the IR from hps to open her structure up a bit... :)

You don't need much IR and its cheap so that would be a easy one to try... :)

Just pull the bigger fan leaves off that have been there for a while and served their purpose. Also, take out anything directly blocking light from getting to any tops with flowers on them that are in the shade. Just keep the newer growth. You wanna have air moving through the branches. If you've ever seen bids or pics of lollipoped plants, that'd kinda what you're going for.

Some times I'll just grab the leaf and pull down and it snaps off, but on some of the newer stuff you gotta get rid of to get light down deeper, I always suggest pinching or cutting an inch or two from where the leaf meets the node/branches main stem so you leave a little of the leafs stem but no fan foliage so you accomplish what you're trying to. I just think it helps not shock the plant as much during flowering from removing the whole leaf from the stem and exposing the whole part to have to heal rather than a small little cut/pinch on the leafs stem.
Just my 2cents.

I'm hesitant to defoliated the Hashberry. I know, I know but I have always let them grow for the most part, no topping or real training. I just always have picked the best pheno and let her do her thing. Maybe I'll defoliated a couple and leave three natural through the grow and compare yield at the end... :)

FYI check out Grand Master Level videos on Youtube...also Three A Light commercials. Both of them hit it hard at 14 days into flower for GML and TAL about day 21. TAL uses multiple strippings to get a great result. And if you want more validation, check out K33 The Defoliator thread. And be ready for a beat down from the "every fan leaf is there for a reason" crowd. I've had great results stripping young females...they like it...and I like it! Just saying!:hump:

i think its really strain dependent,i wold defoliate the kush more then the airy ones and would do it over a week or so,to minimize stress.
i tried GML method with few strains ,not everyone react the same ,some strain stall for a few days and you don't want that at the forth week when buds are forming.
i would go few leaves a day for more safety , and if you have a favorite strain that u grow all the time its perfect to make experiment next grow and defol half of them at one time (day 15)and see what happen

I'm in the begainig of week four so I think it's to late do this grow to start deforestation. Mandala recommends against it with there genetics also. I'm sure I will be more then happy with what I pull from this run and maybe the next I will be pulling more foliage... The arms of the Hashberry (thick girls) are pushing through their leaf canopy and the tops are just stacking bud site on top of bud sight, not much stretch in her under the cobs as compaired to hps... :)
