@kony brado, I have 16 in a meter squared here too. I usually run only one pheno at a time but I decided to be adventurous and run two strains with five phenos... :) What size light did you run in your meter squared before cobs and how many watts of cobs will you be using now? What was your yield like before? How much head room dose your grow space have?

i used to run 2 x 600w on 2 x 1 meter and get consistently 1 g/w .my original idea was to use 12 cxb 1050ma(per meter) like u do,i hope to replace the 600 hps with it ,but sins i ordered parts to light 3 meter(i plan to expend in the future) and its winter ill go with 16 cobs 1050ma per meter for this round (570 w x2) should be interesting, maybe over kill, but i did get 1g/w even with 3x600 hps (1800 g) in the same space so it cold be a blast(: this strain can take it...
my sealing is 3 meter,so next round will be 2x1 meter and 1x1 second floor.:bigjoint:

Sweet set up and plan! I will be subbed when your rolling. What strain are you running? Sativas can definitely take the high PPFD... :)

I have been looking at moving into a 4' x 8' and using 1 HLG 120 1050 with 4 CXB 3590 cobs each rail. 4 rails, 16 cobs in each 4' x 4' side with a PPDF of 1,007 and 600 watts per 4' x 4'... :)

I have a PPDF in my meter squared now of 938 with 400 watts being used...
Thats my plan exactly ,I use elg-150-c1050 sins I live in a 220v country ,it will be 1,454 ppfd per meter sqare .(:
35.5w x 16 cobs x .612(efficiency) x4.65 mols square m x .9 reflector loss =1,454
for a 4x4 space : x10.7:16=972 ppfd
that sweet bongsmilie

Ya, cheese is skunk X Big Buddha isn't it?
Bonjour
Cheese is a UK skunk cut and the first seed bank who made it available in seed form was big buddha seed...you were close...
It is definitely a must have!
I want to try cheesy dick soon (I love cheese and moby dick and it is a cross of those...my favorite strains that I always have in my boxes!)

It's the end of week two beginning of week three. These girls are starting to bloom and have had a little stretch last couple days as their night temps have raised a bit. I have also set the cob timer to 13.5 on 10.5 off and set the 730nm for 5 minutes at lights off. There are a ton of bud sites so I'm smiling and hoping I have enough light... Lol :)

The pics go like this pheno 3 of the Peak Kush Berry, Hashberry and group shot with the tall girls in the back.. like grade school... :)

Well there is nothing like sitting in a completely dark room waiting for your diy light to turn off and your 730nm stars to turn on and it all working in a synchronized harmony. The reds fired up and its a beautiful thing... :)
I'm waiting for a delivery of my far reds:

I'm also curious what timing u got them on, and if the plants 'going to sleep' is visible :)

How are you timing them?
I'm using two separate digital timers and I have both set to the same clock time and both have battery back up.

I am using the timing schedule on this run that @captainmorgan laid out in the far red thread. First two weeks standard 12/12, middle four weeks 13.5/10.5 with the far red the last two weeks standard 12/12 to finish. Yes, the plants go to sleep quickly. It was a little crazy to watch the first time and see them collapse like puppets with the strings cut... :)

what are you trying to achieve with the far red, higher yield or higher potency? am i missing out??!!
From what I read in the far red thread the 730nm definitely shoertens flower time without sacrificing yields, some plants respond differently.

Who has done side by side comparison with this? I dont like snake oils

so what if you run perpetual grow and plants at all stages of growth? Perhaps this is not for me.... but who has done side by side comparison and how much does it shorten flowering time!?

manipulation of the pr/pfr ratio is definitely a proven biophysical phenomenon that growers can take advantage of. i've been running straight 13/11 + 5 mins 730nm with what seem to me to be decent results in a perpetual type setup (well, I've been attempting a perpetual) but 13/11 from seed in 11 weeks or so, no problem for most hybrids. I'd say it cuts about a week off the total grow time.

Many of the guys using far red have run the same cut for a while and have their grows dialed in. I have not really seen a side by side but there are enough respectable growers here that are using the far reds I figured it was to little cost to benift not to try it... :)
