My first CFL grow.

There will be ten tops.
I topped for the six colas. Then I topped the top four branches just above their first node, and left the bottom two branches alone.
I'll be updating

These new plants are 12/12 from seed, under a 250 watt hps, but you can still do the same with cfl's, and LST.
I'm not ready to start another journal yet so I just post a few updates here.

The little plant is vegging under cfl's. haha

I forgot to mention that my smallest plant is from a seed that come from weed that never really got me high. lol If it's a female I just want to see how it turns out.

You know the bottom two branches prob won't be dominant right?! So you can cut them or leave them..
ill take a pick and show u what I mean! Got two girls about done that I topped above the 3rd. The White Widow and the bagseed!
and the bud u grow will be better than the bud that seed came from lol! I'm banking on it!

That's funny, because I'm thinking of trimming some of my Sour D, since her lowest are hanging in the soil.
Not enough to call lollipopping, but maybe the lowest 2 sets.

I got two braches that I have to lift to water lol. They're almost on the soil, but not quite!
Those two little branches might yield a half 1/8 -2g dry lol

That's what I keep thinking about. Uncle Ben says they will catch up to the other branches, but I'm not sure they will so I will let them go a bit.
The branches are the first node, and when you top above the second node for the four main colas they are supposed to grow into main colas. Maybe it doesn't work quite the same when you top above the third.

I think I had the same branches you are talking about. I took one off.
Here is a pic. It will probably have 1-2 grams by the end of the grow. lol
You can see the branch is just tiny.

Just an update on my grow.

Not much to say really.
The buds are getting huge on the girl with the four main buds. She's just finished the 5th week.
The other girl is about 4 weeks in to flower, and is two feet tall.
The smallest plant that I topped just went to 12/12. It was transplanted a few days ago, and is starting to take off.

The bag seed that came from stuff that wouldn't get a fly high, turned out to be female I checked with the loupe, and can see tiny calyx with pistils coming from the new growth.
So far her bottom branches are keeping up with the rest.

Also I found two seeds in some really good weed I got.

My two 12/12 from seed are coming along. The sativa dominant one is taking her time though.

That's cool man, I notice your right plant in the third pic is in a shorter container.
That's funny, because I noticed with my indoor I just finished, she was packed like a big block in a Vega, but only to about halfway down, so I was almost thinking of using another 5 gal. pot I have that is cut down to half height for my bagseed I'm still vegging if I have to.

I thought that plant was going to be smaller so I just put her in that 1 gal pot. She's in coco, and I feed her every day or two.
She's going to take 12 weeks or more to finish. She's 7 maybe eight weeks in.
