My autobub is doing it now in what I'd like to think is her final week. I feel like based on just how it's happened for me twice so far, it's that plant giving it one final spurt. My autobub is really started to lump up with the onset of her foxtails. My temps are right never above 80 tho, so I don't think it's due to heat stress..
Im not sure tho just my current thoughts bas on what I'm seeing

Ps. On a high thought...I wonder if you could slightly extend the short veg time on a 12/12 from seed plant by topping it a couple times.
Being able to produce a good amount per plant on 12/12 would make the perpetual swing a WHOLE lot easier..

I swear I had my mind set on a sold 5 week veg just yesterday...smh

I may chop mine this weekend, I'm not sure. There is a bit of amber on most buds, and at least 80% cloudy so maybe in a few days it will be 90% cloudy.
Tomorrow is week 11, and the foxtails are starting to get bad. I have some white pistils, but they are from the foxtailing. Those foxtails have big stems, and will make my bud fluffy.
I started flushing a couple days ago too.

I don't know if topping will extend the veg or not. I was going to try coco, because plants veg fast in coco.
I will always have one 12/12 from seed so I will try topping for sure.

Oh yeah, I took off a test bud the other night! Tastes just like she smells. Great! The buzz is quite intense.

hey nice cfl grow man iwanna try the sun blaster,( i think thats what their called), 200 watt mogul socket cfls! three of those and 600 watts !!!

I just wanted to post a couple pics of my plants after one week in coco.
Both 12/12 from seed. I got a couple seedlings vegging under cfl's though.
The bigger female was accidentally topped right above the 4th node during first week of flower, and was transplanted the same day. She didn't even flinch. lol
Both plants were in some crappy peat soiless mix, and grew real slow the first couple weeks, and I should have transplanted sooner.
I was going to throw out the smaller plant, but decided to put her in coco too. She showed pistils a couple days ago.

EDIT: Just checked on my seedlings I have under cfl's, and found my cat sleeping on the roof of my cab.
My lights are attached to the roof, and the weight of my cat had the roof sag enough to burn one seedling. lol

Lookin good mang. Them runts turn into show stoppers a lot of the time never know. It's funny how accidental topping, your cat torching and all, turns into an experiment instead of tragedy as we progress. That top to lengthen veg thing is interesting. I'd think rootmass gains would be worth the loss (if any). I've seen that when topped,roots explode, thinkin plants are preparing to be ripped in half at any moment. Idk years of growing and thinking equals years of smoking and stoned thinking. Pulled 11 jars off my 13 week clone to flower,herm for seeds grow. Got about 10 undeveloped seeds (lame) but a breeder friend brought a nice random stash for me. I'm stoked the sour I've been cloning for six years came from him.

I'm hoping both plants get some good growth in before stretch is done. I noticed that when I watered the larger plant, and the coco settled a bit more, that there were already new roots shooting out from from where I buried the stock further. I was surprised because they were nice roots for three days growth. I was going to take a pic, but didn't, and now she's too bushy to mess with down there. lol I don't think topping will slow down the veg for 12/12 from seed, the best thing to do is to have the best growing conditions for the plant to get the most from just the 12/12 lighting.
Congrats on the 11 jars man, and it would be awsome having a breeder friend dropping of a stash!

I got 39 grams dry. She wasn't a big plant, The main cola was almost half the weight.

Out of my two seedlings I have one left. The other one was growing too slow since it got burnt.
Now I have to decide where I want to top at. I know I can cut just above the second node for four main colas, but last time I did that the growth was slow. I may go above the third node for the six tops instead. decisions...decisions
I'm vegging this under 18/6 for another week maybe two.


My two 12/12 from seed are growing. The bigger one is pretty much done stretch, and the smaller one should be done stretching soon.
Like I said earlier the bigger one was topped during first week of flower(not on purpose). I almost threw the little one out because she was not looking good, but she showed me she was female just in time, so I kept her. lol.

Everything is still looking good! What did u do to the bigger lass? Training wise?

I'll be working of that same method for my next OP boss!(2nd/3rd node topping).
I plan on topping each on a different amount of times afterwards, to see how this production compares to mainlining ya know?!

I'll put some pics up sat, at the weekly update of mine man, but I transplanted mine just a couple days ago, and they are growing liike weeds!
Be patient, they do the foliage/ root thing when they feel like it, and all we can do is wait it out.

Just an update on my grow.
I have the one plant still vegging, and topped it twice. Once above the third node, and then just above the first new nodes.
I left the bottom branches go so they will catch up. I wont top those branches. I'm going to transplant it to a 2 gallon pot tomorrow.


My two 12/12 FS are doing good. The smallest is about 3 weeks into flower.
The bigger plant is 4 weeks in, and has theses huge calyxes everywhere. I'm going to redo the LST on her to spread the four main colas apart to get more light to the lower buds.
If I wouldn't have broken off the main cola she would be quite a bit bigger.

I didn't know if I wanted the four "main" colas, or the six "tops". I went for the six tops, and then topped four of those.

So she should produce 16 tops?! Anxious to see what she does as I was thinking of topping above the 2nd again, and then once at every node after that! Keep me posted if you can find the time boss!

I read through and WOW I gotta say you are very good with these CFL's...those colas look amazing and its refreshing to see you didn't harvest early like a lot of people do. The new plants look great. LST definitely is key to the cfl.
