Hey man i just looked through your grow. I am currently using a 400w hps in a small closet SOG and I like looking through these LED Grows because the tech has moved pretty quick in the last couple years and i think its going to be the lighting choice of the future. That said I love my HID right now my growbright HPS and MH conversion bulbs seem to work great and the entire setup was $160 shipped. But in a couple years LEDs are going to come down in price those calyxLED prices werent too shabby. Whatever though if it werent for the people buying them now than there wouldnt be a demand for the technology. So anyways onto my advice I cant see the latest pics (my pc is a pos) but i saw some previous pics and Im wondering what youve been feeding them for nutes? I have the same Technaflora kit I havent used it much yet but i am familiar with it and i might be able to tell you what your over/under feeding them. As for the pistils dying Thats normal man thats how you know your plants maturing the pistils will be mostly colored by the time you chop No need to worry :). Oh and dont spend ur money on a dryer you can use your cab for 4 days or as 3lions suggested setup another cab to go perpetual/dry. I honestly cant beleive how much that LED rig costs for what looks like buds that could be produced with a 400w hps. But hey i havent used it so who am i to judge.

nice grow
Hey thanks for stopping by! Well I had to try the led using a mh or hps would definitely be too hot and the wife wouldn't like that. Yeah it was spendy but didn't hurt my bank since I sold my drumset and put this project together with some saved loot. That kept the wife happy also. I gotta be stealth and for me this was my best option. I got no regrets specially since you said my buds look like what a 400w hps can produce. I'm cool with that! You asked about the nutes? I've fed them twice according to the recipe feeding schedule. The first feeding was at half dose and the last feeding was a full dose. I gotta check but I think it started curling right before first feed. I have also used molasses. Today was straight water next water will be with molasses. Sorry bout the last post I fucked up the uploading of the pics I think. Anyway thanks for checking it out!

Indeed led is not very economical. Much like going green and sticking in your own windmill or solar panels.. Simply not viable at current prices and will take you ten years to get ahead. Without a doubt LED will be the future for some people who have heat issues. Lets be clear, that is the only benefit to LED.

FYI I'm not trying to make this a debate about led vs mh or hps. To me it's kinda like pc and Mac. The pc people hate macs and the Mac people hate pc. I'm a fan of both types of light. For the next couple of years I gotta be as stealth as possible until my current situation changes. About a year and a half actually then I will have a grow room not a medicine cabinet. Yeah I could have gotten a killer hps or mh with the price I paid for my light and still had plenty of loot left over. But that won't work for me now, maybe in a couple years I will utilize both technologies. As far now I am happy and content with what I got and definitely no regrets! Thanks for following!

I think people are aggreeing that it is the future as oppose to debating. Just most cannot afford the initial outlay n stuff. Being in Spain means summer growing is seriously expensive on the aire-con front for our larger grows. LED will one day help enormously!

I have seen plenty of greatttttt grows with LEDS, they certainly still produce.

Yeah your right! Sorry if I sounded pissy! Wasn't trying to be. Thanks. I checked in on them this morning and they were looking beautiful! Took a quick measure of the tallest Onyx and it was at 22". Not sure but looked like the easyryder was better as far as the curling down. I'll check her over later!

no probs, all have our moments anyway right? lol

as for the curling down, I missed that bit. If curling down is usually due to one of two things. Overwatering or the nutes slightly too strong. ease off on one of those if you think one of those is borderline.

Yeah I guess we do lol. I should have taken my morning toke first lol! Well prob a nute problem. I gave them a much needed watering yesterday. Probably the dryest the soil has been so far. She seemed to look A little better this morning. Maybe she just needs water and a little molasses for awhile. Thanks for following!

So your giving them flowering nutes right? or are you still giving them them 18/6 nutes? It might be a dumb question but I was just making sure.

Yeah I'm feeding them the bloom nutes. So far I have fed them nutes twice. The first time was at half strength. Last Friday I fed them a full dose. Yesterday day with phd water maybe tomorrow or Friday will be phd water and molasses. I just checked in on them and they look beautiful my tall Onyx is at 23" now. It's a fucking bad ass feeling everytime I see them! I hope this feeling is the same with every grow! Anyway the easyryder still has some curling down on some leaf tips. But to me she still looks good. I think she will be on water and some molasses for awhile. I'll take some more pics during the next watering. Maybe by then I'll have a video clip up on you tube. We'll see. Thanks for following!

Today is day 41. I fed the two Onyx some nutes today. The EasyRyder only received ph'd water. She still has some leaf tips curling down and some yellowing on the tips. I also noticed some purple streaks? on the stem in a few spots. Also one tiny leaf has a couple little holes. Not sure what caused this and what is wrong with her.PA170065.jpgPA170049.jpgPA170034.jpgPA170063.jpgPA170059.jpgPA170067.jpg

I forgot to measure the EasyRyder, but I'd say she is about 22" tall and one Onyx is 24" tall and the other is 19". Here is the 24" Onyx:

Here are some pics of the 19" Onyx: PA170043.jpgPA170044.jpgPA170045.jpgPA170052.jpg
Well they seem to be doing great to me! Except for the problems that the EasyRyder has i guess. Even with those probs she is still doing pretty good. May keep her on the water for a little bit. Anyone have any suggestions about her?

Well I took a couple videos on my little digital camera and put em up on youtube. My channel on there is ChroniCDooM420. I also used my iphone and used a magnifying glass to try and get some closeups with the digital camera. They aren't the best vids but ill try and get better with what I got. let me know what you think, and thanks for following!

Are you using neem oil or something? You should keep a close eye on yellow spots with holes as these could be bugs

You don't really want it to become

Actually I am not using anything for bugs. Thanks for the heads up i will closely monitor this. So far I have only seen it on the one tiny leaf. I have been looking for bugs, but have not noticed any sign of them at all. I am hoping that my little closet cabinet grow will not encounter any pests. I do have a nylon over my intake, and I try to keep the cabinet door open as little as possible. I sure hope i never get invaded by some pests. Thanks for following!

Spider mites!!!!
I sure hope not! Anyone know how fast these things multiply and spread to other plants? So far it's only one leaf and has been the same way for a few days. No signs other signs on the easyryder or the onyx for that matter. For some reason I don't think it is a pest problem. But I am a rookie what do I know. Lol

Check the bottom side of the affected leaves...if you see little critters it's time for war!
