Actually man the resin crystals are soft and flexible when first harvested,so they shouldn't break,even if you try cut them with a knife they bend...so they shouldn't do as you describe at all.The reason they make scissor hash/stick to your fingers is because you actually burst them when cutting.The real reason you wouldn't want them touching is because the plant knows when it's growing against something and stops growing that direction.

Your best bet is to go perpetual. Then if 1 harvest sucks, the next one is only a couple weeks away. Once you get your grow dialed in the harvests will just get bigger and bigger. Did I mention they'd be every couple of WEEKS? Yessss
