Having a question answered like that leaf, would take years :)
They like questions. They like not answering even better.

whenever the government is involved one can count on the maximum of red tape.. that's their job, to govern things, to slow the flow..

Since the introduction of the MMPR, Health Canada has received 1224 licensed producer applications. Most applications to date have been processed and decisions rendered. To date, 881 applications have been assessed and refused or withdrawn; 320 aplications are in process, including security clearance, review and/or pre-licensing inpection phases; and 23 licenses have been issued.

Health Canada confirms #mmpr applications "are continuing to be processed as usual" but no more ready-to-build letters will be issued

"instead of a ready to build letter, HC will simply inform applicants by email that their application is ready for pre-licence inspection"

Itsme.

Interesting point. The ready to build letters said that a license "will be issued". I guess they don't want to get anybody's hopes up now.

RTB's were presented as and expected to be a pre-approval for your license. That wasn't the case as you know now. It's a way for HC to cover their asses, now there's no way to know if you will pass your pre license inspection. Whatever that means. I guess now you build it and hope you pass?? The key will be on having security clearances now. RTB means nothing. It's fucked up. Makes no sense.......

They told me explicitly that this was not the case from the beginning. A RTB did NOT imply that you would receive a license. They have been covering their arses from the beginning.

then what's it for? to let you know you are one step closer to being denied?..oops..I mean able to spend more money to be told you don't get approved?

I don't think this changes anything really.. instead of a Ready to Build, which was being treated like the final step, they're simply waiting until the actual final step.
It sucks for those that have not built out their facility, but you can wait to build until they alert you that your file is ready for inspection. At this point just finish your facility. Works great for <10,000 sq ft lol

Just read this too - very interesting and probably been posted already.

on page 10 it says HC had 400-500 KG of stored dried marijuana but didn't have to rely on it.....what did they do with it then?
