Looking good Mewk's. I would agree with you about planting on one side of the pot, but you now know for next time. pc grows are a bit of a live and learn experience. Your home brew sounds interesting is it tin-o-lager or can-na-ale, I wonder? keep up the good work and may the sun continue to shine for you.
Ale!
Always Ale!

Tho I'm not that proud of it really, if I'd had a bit more space, maybe she'd look a little more comfortable. Also, I wish I'd started her on one side of the pot and just LSTd her over to the other side, rather than tryina split both ways like I am.
Grow and learn and thank you I just learned something from you! I am building a Grow PC now for fun and maybe to server as a veg unit and use my cab for flowering both DWC, that way I don't have to wait as long between grows. The Government is going to put a nasty TAX on it soon where legal, I can't afford to pay that tax :P

Welcome aboard Sensi! Glad to be your first sub... Will therefore make an effort to be a little more regular on the posts. The homebrew's been taking up loads of my time at the moment, just started ghetto brewing some vino too... Hehe, this grow-your-own lark is the best.

Thanks for the words antdog... tis good to hear some positive feedback, as I keep lookin at her and thinkin I've put her thru hell and she's not enjoyin it.

Reku, totally man... Grow and learn... it's the only way. Do what works for you, and stop doing what you're doing, when you keep fucking things up... I'm gradually gettin it together tho.

emannn, yeh mate, all goes well at the moment. Tho your girl's lookin way happier than mine. Will try n get some pics up tomorrow if I can, she could prolly do with a bit of freshen up lst-wise to be honest, I've got wires everywhere at the moment. Still, she's really starting to flower now, loads of pistils, and I reckon at least 20+ bud sites. Still hoping she grows to the other side of the pot, but if not, that's something I'll deal with if I do another grow.

Will be gettin my activated carbon in tomorrow, so will get the carbon filter up and running... as she's just started to get a nice smell to her, definitely a change from the veg smell, way more 'weedy'.

So keep tuned fellow stoners, pics tomorrow hopefully.

hey mewk, keep ur chin up m8, the only reason mine may look happier, i think, is because u did urs 12/12 from seed, where as i veg`d for 4 weeks, but on the up note u`ll be smoking some good weed 4+ weeks b4 me, i`ll be jealous as fcuk. hey and who knows with 20+ bud sites u could have a surprisingly bountiful crop.
good luck and happy growing

Nothin special, just a couple quick pics. All seems to be going okay, she's *gradually* stretching over to the left side of the pot, but it's slow progress. It looks a mess in there, but I'll tidy that up a bit, later today or tomorra.

Looking nice and bushy there on the end. The other side of the pot will slowly but surely fill out. I know mine is an auto and all and that she started flowering around day 17 and has grown quite a bit while flowering. Wondering if you're noticing any new growth since the switch?

Thanks man, yeh, she's startin to bush out a bit... there's been a bit of growth since she started flowering, I still hold out some hope in filling a good bit of the empty side of the pot. I reckon two of the main stems are shooting out a new node every 3-4 days. So fingers x'd.

It's strange, checkin her once a day I don't really notice much difference. But as soon as I upload a new pic and scroll back to the last one I put up... it's like "SHIT, she's grown!!". :)

Okay, here we go. I've given her a bit of a sort-out, removed all the wires, gave her a breather then re-LST'd it all. I'm a bit worried, as I've only got about an inch of extra space to lower things down. I'm pretty certain I'm gonna have to attempt to put the lights on their sides now, and as much as I've looked at the box, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to bolt it in there.

Anyways, things in general are going cool. I've kept the nutes to an extreme minimum, just been using cheap bottled water from the shops. The LSTing has been a little intensive, but it's not been much of a bother, and I'm still happy with how low she's managed to stay.

Not much else to report, I don't think. I will admit to smoking a few of the fan leaves that'd been pruned and dried on top of the box. Yeh yeh, there's no thc in them I hear you all say... But when you're scratchin for a smoke and no cash to grab an 8th, it's a different matter. Not much of a high, obviously... But they managed to see me thru a couple movies.

Is there anyone reading in on this that's done 12/12 from seed before... that could gimme a rough idea of how long they think these girls should take to get to harvest?

The box says this
Feminized strain
Heavy Yield
Temperate / Continental
Compact plant
Short flowering period (45 - 55 days)
85% Indica
Right, I'm gettin sidetracked. On with the pics. Enjoy.

Looking good Mewk!

If you're needing more vertical space you can possibly try something similar to how I mounted my lights in my case. Rather than use separate receptacles for each light, I used a standard power strip, and used special adapters that plug directly into a power outlet. To mount the power strip I used two methods. I drilled a couple holes in the top and put a couple screws thru the holes, and secured them with a nut so I can hang the power strip on the screws. I also used some velcro strips to secure it even further.

The lights went off a while ago, so I thought I'd have a bash at setting them on their side tonight. My girls all tucked up in a darkened box at the mo, and then after detaching the lights, I found a headache, so I thought I'd pop on here and hopefully get some good ideas for how to solve this.

Have a look at these pics, and you'll see what I mean.

As you can see, the sodding light pokes out further than the side of the box!! Bugger. That screws up one semi-simple solution. So now I dunno what to do.

Here's a pic of the separated light section, it's made out of general housing light fixtures (these are bayonette fittings), with all of the wiring being housed in two vhs cassettes that've been fixed together.

Thanks man... and a nice idea.. I've seen a few setups with the lights attached to power strips - I just looked back through your grow, and couldn't see the ones you're usin, just a bunch of lights attached to Y connector things. Anyhows, AFAIK, those adapters seem to be US only, I've not seen any of those kinda things this side of the pond.

Open to ideas everyone.

Hmm you could maybe remove the bottom white part (that is attached to the VHS right now)? or replace with lower-profile ones from DIY or hardware shop?

Thats a tricky one though fella, love the old tapes :P

Yeh, nice thinkin Snot. I'll get onto that now, if I can just lose a couple centimeters, I should be fine.

//update//

Yeh I've just spent the last hour or so online looking thru endless light fixtures... But there doesn't seem to be any kinda 'low profile' socket that I can pick up from ebay or locally.

Any other ideas?

Ah i forgot you're across the pond. The adapters I'm talking about came from a hardware store, maybe a hardware store chain in your area might have something similar?

You can try mounting from the top possibly? Altho then you'll want a Y adapter too, since more light comes from the sides rather than the tip.

I see that you have an opening and empty space across from where your top fan is. Maybe remove the VHS tapes and then try and prop up the lights horizontally by creating some sort of fixture to support the individual light sockets you have. Like maybe run 2 rods from the top of your fan and have them poke through whatever you have covering that empty space on the other end of your fan. That may suffice for the time being until you find a more suitable solution.

I actually did something similar with really long screws and screwing them into the side of the PC case to hold my powerstrip up. I had about 6 long screws below the powerstrip and 2 above the powerstrip
