summer in chicago is awesome. since it is so short the folks really get out there and enjoy it. i moved there from NYC and found the people very nice - very midwestern. and while i don't like big cities - if i were forced to live in one - chicago would probably be my number one pick - definitely in my top 5.Yeah I love Kauai and if I could find someone to move back there with me I will, I just dont wanna be alone.
Yeah I have not experienced too much here in Chicago with the weather being the way it is. So far I actually think it is really beautiful and I cannot wait until spring/summer. I have never been this pale or stayed indoors so much in my life!
I have great expectations for the upcoming months.
there is an awesome and huge wetland preserve south of chicago (i can't recall the name) that you might be interested in checking out for a taste of nature. and the Art Institute of Chicago, Shedd Aquarium and Observatories are a must see!
and if you like hepcat swinger kind of places - the Green Mill (a former Al Capone speakeasy) is home to original poetry slams (or at least was many, many years ago).
