Yeah I love Kauai and if I could find someone to move back there with me I will, I just dont wanna be alone.
Yeah I have not experienced too much here in Chicago with the weather being the way it is. So far I actually think it is really beautiful and I cannot wait until spring/summer. I have never been this pale or stayed indoors so much in my life!
I have great expectations for the upcoming months.
summer in chicago is awesome. since it is so short the folks really get out there and enjoy it. i moved there from NYC and found the people very nice - very midwestern. and while i don't like big cities - if i were forced to live in one - chicago would probably be my number one pick - definitely in my top 5.

there is an awesome and huge wetland preserve south of chicago (i can't recall the name) that you might be interested in checking out for a taste of nature. and the Art Institute of Chicago, Shedd Aquarium and Observatories are a must see!

and if you like hepcat swinger kind of places - the Green Mill (a former Al Capone speakeasy) is home to original poetry slams (or at least was many, many years ago).

i'm sure you saw a lot more living on the islands than near the windy-city!
