I said what I said to stop some of the bullshit, if I wished to play with the canadian's as they with the american's they would hide where they are from as most do now. Canadian's wouldn't like what I could say. I don't wish this but it may come to that.

Have you ever lived in Canada? Can you say which place is better?

I lived in Canada for 15 years before moving to the US. Never once did I ever have to worry about whether or not I could afford to go to the doctor to be treated for an illness. Today, if I got sick, I COULD NOT go to the doctor. Can't afford it.

I have spent 10 years in these "great" United States and I'll I've seen is suffering while the rich get infinitely richer while the poor get poorer. The Canadian government isn't perfect, no government is, but one thing it seems to have going for it is that it GIVES A SHIT ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO INHABIT THE LAND.

The US gov't doesn't care about the average citizen, and that's evident in how the various 'limbs' of the institution conduct themselves. A two party system is fundamentally flawed and is the cause of nothing but misery for everyone involved.

Now, when you've lived in Canada for 10 years, mister patriot, you can come to me and tell me about how inferior the Canadian way of life is to this cesspool of bipartisan squabbles and religious zeal. Until then, please to be drinking an ice cold glass of SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Oooooo our higher tax rate.. on my $25,000 a year job thats about a whole
$60.00 a week in taxes, for everything... and about $10. of that for medicare... or $520.00 a year.... not the $12,000 per year you guys paying insurance and still can't go to who, where and when as many times as you want, plus 1'2 through you can be denied because of over your insured limit, thats barbaric..... so you know what you can do with that sorry old argument.. another US anti Canada lie, just like the 911 terrorists came through from Canada.. Yes, I can say with out reservation that the United States is better because there is a greater degree of personal freedom, and a greater degree of individual responsibility.

More importantly is that due to the lower taxes people that get ahead or at least attain some degree of success are not enslaved by the state for the benefit of the lazy and irresponsible.

Your failure to plan does not constitute a crisis on my part, or even cause for concern, outside of the fact that some cock-sucking politician is going to seize upon it as an excuse to steal more of my money, or take more of my liberties.

Funny, there's two types of Socialists

The insanely wealthy - who are so wealthy as to be able to afford the idiotic taxes they want to pass.

And the poor - who aren't going to pay the idiotic taxes anyway, or reap enough in government benefits that the new taxes actually means more stolen loot for them.

actually your 100% wrong, i just think its bullshit that everyones getting caught up with who's better, when what we really ought to be thinking is everyones getting fucked over, we just get fucked over on different things.
America, canada, uk, spain, france, whichever country you wanna name, were all getting screwed. These names were created by someone else, it has no baring on us as individuals, we are all human beings, exactly the same with similar emotions.

I work damn hard, i pay my bills, i pay taxes and everything i need to, i try to live life the right way, but i never seem to have the money i'd like to be able to do the things i like, while there are other people who sit on their ass all day everyday, get money for nothing and can go out drinking and partying a few nights a week.

Just stop arguing over who is better, where is the better place to live, because its all going down hill very very quickly, and if the powers that be have their way then soon we will have a single currency and a one world government that would become virtually omnipitent.

Stop taking arms against your brothers and unite with them. These are exactly the reasons why things will never change, because they got so many people caught up in the bullshit arguing against each other so they can't pull together and have the power.

This is just another method of control, don't fall for it

I don't know. Like I said in the first line of that reply, I'm not sure what you're trying to argue.

I do know that more government control of our lives just makes it that much easier for the rest of our rights to be suspended, and a global government to be instituted.

If the laws of the United States are superceded by some stupid treaty, and we blindly go along with it, then we can no longer say that we are the United States.

It'll be easier for the turds at the top to bring about their one world government if they manage to get the sheep to blindly surrender their rights.

The easiest way to do that is to convince the sheep that the government wants to help keep them healthy (of course the government wants to keep its slaves healthy, with out the slaves the government has no raison d' etre.)

what i want to see, is people forget about the petty squabbles that are put in front of us to distract us and segregate us, the whole point of america being better than canada because of x and canada being better than america because of y is to segregate us, to distance us from each other, so that we can't all unite, to remove the style of government we have now, to replace it by a peoples democratic government, one with the peoples interests at heart, every major decision that is made by the government should be voted for by the people not by 400 corrupt politicians with their own agendas, the only way this can ever be achieved is for the many slaves to rise up against their few masters and realise where the power actually is, but because we are so distanced from everyone, because that is the way society has taught us to be, we can not.

See, I'm not interested in being anything like Canada, and think that those that wish to emulate Canada or Western Europe should feel free to put their money where their mouth is and move to whatever country they think is the best, as opposed to forcing everyone else to go along with their ideas.

I really don't care how some one else ranks whatever nation, I just don't want them trying to coerce me into supporting their denial of my liberty.

Government is not a "good", "service" or "commodity" it is a useless blackhole that absorbs National Wealth and causes more problems while failing to solve the very problems it supposedly is trying to solve.

To be honest about these arguements we have on this website, they are as useless as used toilet paper. No-one is going to be swayed by the opposing viewpoint. The only valid reason I see is to vent frustration and get out ones ad-hominem attacks on the opposition. Me being a left leaning liberal cannot ever see myself going to the extreme right, and I doubt any Righties are going towards the left, although we did gain a repuke senator yesterday, Whoops righties, we now have the golden 60 votes to overide any filibusters, Maybe the dems can pull their heads out and get some shit done now, I hope.
