Don't trip, I was the exact same way... It's tantric breathing basically; you clear your head as best you can & focus on your breathing. Then you learn how to focus your breathing energy up through your bodies energy centers (chakras) and that's when it get's gnarly good... let me find a book to recommend besides the Bhagavad Gita..

this one looks good... http://www.amazon.com/Empowering-Your-Soul-Through-Meditation/dp/186204547X/ref=cm_lmf_tit_6

...not that I DON'T recommend the Bhagavad Gita!! quite the contrary, but it can be a daunting read. especially as a starting point. Namaste

Will do, must say im an odd eater tho. I drink 4-5 gallons of milk a week (which ill now be replacing with water) but I dont like any other dairy-like products such as ice-cream, ice-cream smoothies, cheeses, yogurts, cake, pie, chocolate (ok im leaving the dairy now i guess). So yea, i dont LIKE shakes/smoothies, but if you think it will help, at this point ill eat shit-covered duck feet to get this over with.
Wow! 5 gallons of milk a week! Your bones must be in great shape lol. I eat alot of cheese but ususally dont drink too much milk.

Another thing is I am much warmer when I stop weed, not to mention i get more b.o.-- i start "detoxing" all the weed tar from my lungs and system.

bwhahaha, i live in arizona, when AC goes down here people die. no joke. specially in retirement facilities. but i still get your point. My father and I are really close, and Ive seen him go through vicodin withdrawl. He was only using for a few months tho after cutting off his fucking finger. What really screwed him over was when his prescription expired so he ordered from over seas and got this vicodin that can knock out a fucking horse! I took 1/4 one time (i don't remember why) right before coming back to school with my girlfriend and the entire time i was in the car I was just stoned out of my mind, my pupils wouldn't dialate, it was SO strong, and my dad had reached a point where he was taking 1-2 of those a day. His withdrawls where seriously the worst time in my life, I had to come home and help him with work and pretty much everything, he wouldnt/couldnt get out of bed, and hed never stay active for more than an hour or so a day before he would just go to sleep. On the random days he DID wake up at a normal hour, it usually led to serious mental breakdowns and crying sessions. It was the hardest thing ive ever had to do in my life. And i wasnt even the addict.

and yea, one meal a day, so far thats been it. yesterday I had french fries from wendies, maybe ill try adding some meat to that today.
It fuckin sucks to watch loved ones get hooked on pills. and when they cant get them its very sad. I have people in my fam who have been hooked on pills for years- Im talking 10 yrs and longer. all that shit must come from the pitts of hell

its very depressing when i think about the millions of people who are hopelessly addicted to pharmaceuticals.

Yea man, I drink SO much milk. I kind of screwed up and gave alot of information in this thread, so unless your braindead, you can figure out where I live. lol. So ill stop trying to hide it, im lucky i live in a small town like flagstaff because i dont own a car, so that means I have to grab a gallon of milk almost daily on my way home from classes, kind of annoying. I actually think its one of the reasons im so skinny, I dont LIKE to eat... its a time waister, who wants to sit down for no fucking reason other than to shove food in their face? lol, atleast thats how i see it sometimes, so when i get hungry and im doin somethin, sometimes ill just grab a glass or two of milk and leave it at that. So all in all, probably not the most healthy habbit.

The warmer thing is interesting, i get that too but i had never really made the connection. I remember having issues sleeping one night in december because i didnt have my sack and my feet kept sweting and i couldnt keep em under the covers. Wierd.

just wondering if anybody has any tips to relieve the uncomfort of suddenly stopping toking
i have smoked steady everyday for quite a few years and now have to abstain for awhile
its been 5 days now, and it really sucks.
been really irritable and tired all the time
been having some crazy ass dreams also
i will be so happy when this is over and i can puff again
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
its so messed up that i have to stop taking my meds, it really feels cruel and unusual to me
I have a theory that cannabis isn't really addictive. This theory is based on the fact that myself, and others I know, gave up just like that. I think it's the tobacco you put in a spliff that you become addicted too. Those that give up and then start again tend to do so out of boredom more than anything..

I dont touch pills, liquer, or tobacco for that very reason. I smoke, and dabble in lsd/shrooms/lsa and salvia. (an aderol 1ce or twice a semester before a big cram seesion). Its a wierd list of drugs but they are the ones i deem safe/reasonable.

Oh and cingular but i mean come on, seriously, its like the most nonharmfull drug on the planet, and i need it to breath so i wont be stoppin that one. lol.

No thats not true, its possible to get hooked on pot. completely. in fact its insulting to tell some people that they ARNT experiancing withdrawl or addiction. What I WILL say however, is that you have to be a chronic smoker (chronic as in often/constant) almost rediculously so, before real dependance forms. Ive also read that there is only a small portion of people that are suseptable to weed addiction, however idk if thats true becuase EVERYONE i know who smokes chronicly eventually forms a physical addiction of some kind.

I'll have to dispute that notion. I don't mix nothin with my weed & if I have to quit for a while I do feel a pronounced difference; no tobacco involved. while I wholeheartedly agree that it is not physically addictive the same way heroin is, there are withdrawals nonetheless.

That is about the only silver lining I can find to getting addicted to opiates---------it put things in perspective for me.

I remember when i was young and ran out of weed I thought it was the end of the world! lol the good old days

ive been smoking less than a year (ive probably smoked a good pound in that time) and i remember when i first started buying by the 8th and making it last 3 weeks. Now buy by the oz (half pound for reggie) and when i run out its ... horrible... like horrible. haha. I have a Q-Tower Extreme vaporizor so i get alot out of my weed, unfortuately i think it also gave way to my tolerance gain. I had very low tolerance before i started vaping 3 month ago.

I remember even just at the begining of december I could get totally ripped off two hits from my 3 foot triple perc, now i have to run 2-3 grams a chronic through the vape to get decently stoned, and its nothing like it used to be. And edibles dont work for me PERIOD anymore. In the desperate attempt to get super high on friday (end of the week) i made a single brownie with 3.5g ($50) and it still only gave me a buzz, i had to smoke to get anywhere real (however the edible made my vaped weed more effective).

TBO weed kind of sucks sometimes, I need to get my grow going and save some money.

WW I'm not trying to tell you how to run your deal, but lemme offer you a 30 year smoker's perspective on your situation; you're wasting good weed. Your brain only has so many receptors to begin with, so when you flood em, new one are produced, thereby increasing the need for more THC to achieve the same results. It's like this; your receptors are like a parking lot; once the lot fills up a few times with cars the owners start expanding the lot so they dont lose the business. As uncomfortable as it may seem, just a one or two day break would make a world of difference for you & save you some money as well. I HAVE to take weed fasts every couple of weeks or so, or my tolerance is just stupid.

I agree. I have friends who dont smoke when they wake up in the morning. They will usually wait untill their up, ate breakfast/lunch and are out of the house and on the go.
Sometimes even wait untill they come home from work. and then get high as shit.
I on the other hand smoke as soon as i wake up.

my problem lately is that I've had literally nothing to do so I just start smokin early in the day....

if I had shit to do from the beginning I'd rather only smoke after shit is done...

Its an awesome feeling to come home after youve spent all day taking care of your business and then smoke. Its a great reward for yourself.

Agreed. Like ive said, im not making the smartest choices when it comes to my doses most likely because im a little to quick to grab the herb. I wouldnt say im an addict, but im probably not considered sober either. Im taking a two week break as of yesterday though, so hopefully that will help. And My GOAL is to only smoke 3 times a week when i start up again (and id rather do edibles than smoke at that). Hopefully that can get me back on track.

You bring up an interesting point with the receptors. I guess i had always known that, but wasnt really applying that knowledge. I was hoping that my current steps would help bring tolerance down faster (no milk, no fats, excersize, lots of water) but with receptors, i guess there would be a minimum recovery time. I had never thought about it. You just somewhat depressed me. lol. How long do you take your breaks for? and even though it may seem like a wierd question, how tall/heavy are you? Im 125, 5'8", so my bodys fat content is VERY low.
