Marijuana Withdrawal

I think the best thing to try is swimming. I know you said your arm is busted so I'm not sure how well you can swim. If you can though, just find a local pool and tread water for 2-3 hours. I'm in no athletic shape at all, and I easily tread water for 4+ hours... I just get bored.

It doesn't give your body the same harsh feeling of having just lifted weights or running. It makes my body feel like jello and almost as if I took a vicodin, and you will be knocked out within 60 seconds of putting your head down.

It's the best "work out" for just making yourself feel good. This is how it is for me anyways.

Try eating Lecithin, Alpha GPC or some other source of choline which may reduce headaches and provide you with a clearer mind, additionally cannabis use depletes acetylcholine so its good to replenish those levels from time to time. When I stop smoking my anxiety goes through the roof, but running and keeping busy at all times helps a lot. Its a good idea to taper off slowly (like from 5 joints narrow it down to 1 joint per day throughout a week time).

interesting thanks for the info.

apparently eggs and other fatty meats are a good source of that. there's a good amount of lecithin in milk too.

huh, i wondered why i got sick after i ran out of pot. I mean as far as stomach pain goes i felt like i was dying, combined with a foggy head, i usally walk my dog every day and no problems but last night i did and came back so fucking exausted and short of breath, complete shit feeling, what also sucks is the sleeping, yesterday was my 3rd day and woke up every single hour of the night. Go to bed at 10 wake up at 11:30, go back to sleep at 12 and wake up at 140, go back to sleep agian and wake up at 2:40, its getting better though, and even better knowing im not the only one that gets the withdraws, i smoked a little over a g a day, from when i got up until i went to sleep.

i used to have troubble stopping when i was younger.. i usedd to get headaches, upset stomach, and irratabillity.....if you stop one a week every month youll get so used to the symptoms. i only want it on the first day and then im good. im on day 5 right now and no problems.

i just ended a 2 week tolerance break yesterday after smoking at least an 8th of top shelf/hash etc a day for several years. i can say i experienced no withdrawal besides some very nasty rebound insomnia. my friends tell a different story. for the first 4 days of my break people kept asking me if i was ok because i was talking REALLY fast and getting overexcited about things. textbook mania (i never noticed it myself) and very out of character for me. when the 2 weeks were up i noticed that i had lost 7 pounds. was i withdrawing? maybe, but if that's as bad as it gets it's a pretty good deal.

also, i found what i consider to be a magic cocktail to get some sleep. benadryl, wait an hour, then 2 mg of melatonin. basically i blacked out. i was doing some research and found that histamine is a chemical in your brain that "promotes wakefulness". hence an anti-histamine "turns off the wakefulness" (but on it's own is no match for real insomnia). melatonin is a chemical in your brain that "promotes sleepiness" but is also not going to combat hardcore insomnia by itself. so i hypothisised that turning off the wakefulness and then turning on the sleepiness (in that order) would be a good idea, and i was right (i think). melatonin has a short half-life so there is a possibility that you will wake up again in a few hours (i did the first night), but it's better than no sleep at all, and the following night i slept fine. also the benadryl can make you groggy the next day if you didn't get enough rest, but this cocktail saved my ass. figured it was relevant. if someone can tell me why i should NOT take this combo i'm all ears, but it seems pretty safe.

ive had to quit on several occasions, the best method for me is to stay extra busy alll day and evening, and be so tired that 5 min in bed and im out. when you dont sit there and think, "damn id like to be high right now" because your out doing something, its alot easier
Thats the only way to take my mind off it.....hit the nail on the head.

as someone else said working out alot helps too.

I find I get REALLY irritable when I dont have my meds...but then again I suffer from extreme rage.

I think you lost the weight because you're not munching out as much . . . :)

but generally, my withdrawal symptoms include insomnia, social awkwardness, loss of confidence, irritability and general ickyness, but hey, look at the good side, if you start toking again after about a week, any weed works better :)

I get some serious Early Cuyler rage when I don't smoke and I wanna fuck every girl in sight. I get the bad nightmares too.
Confidence actually goes up for me.
....Why do I smoke again???

I feel your pain bro, I have to stop smoking here for about four months if my ass wants to stay a free woman. I am on probation sadly... and what pisses me off the most is that they hardly care about the "hard" drugs... yet they rip you a new one if you smoke a little weed... doesn't make any sense! How about they crack down on the heroin junkies and leave the peaceful potheads like myself alone... tsk, tsk. It's all and only about the money when it comes to facing a mean judge and the court system. They really take your money man.

What have I been doing to try and abstain? Unfortunately, I hate to say it, too... but I've been taking a light dose of xanax to just get the edge off on some days where I feel like killing a bitch for looking at my man up and down. Mhm, I know that look. LOL. Anyway, cannabis is my catnip, and I am one angry bitch without it...
