Can I make Bubble Herbal Extract with moldy plant matter?

YES. Bubble Man recommends an extra mold-removing step: place your herbal extract into a jar full of water with a tight-fitting lid and shake it up. The mold spores will float to the top and can be skimmed off with a spoon or turkey baster. Then, rinse the jar into the 25 micron bubble bag and press the moisture out as usual.

What do u guys think about this ive heard many diferent opinions on this.

Unless it's super-moldy, just wash it off and no one will ever know it was there.

Not sure about making bubble hash -- you should probably just sell / smoke them.

moldy buds are gonna happen... as are spider mites effing caterpillars etc,.. I would not want to smoke it..BUT... if your a pain patient.. or hell even if you have a sore knee or back.. mack the moldy crap into a topical balm. I understand the desire to smoke it and hate to loose any part of it.. but you cant smoke with a respiratory infection lying in the hospital bed either..

Has anybody tried this method? Sounds like it could work. Sounds a lot healthier than makin bho.

I was about to say no way since I saw how much you pulled (congrats on a fat yield!) but now that you say you just want to turn as much as possible I guess go for it. I saw someone doing a hydrogen peroxide wash for mold. I think it was also in a Jorge Cervantes video where the mold or mildew just floated to the top of the solution when he was done.

Maybe instead of bubble try an old school iso extraction. Seems like that would kill anything.

Okay, first off PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF CANNABIS do not follow bubbleman's how to. He made it bad on purpose because he doesnt want you making primo extracts. NEVER ever press your ice water hash, no exceptions.

Yes, if you need smoke you can use damaged and infected material to make ice water hash. No, you can't completely separate the bad stuff. Most of the mildew will go thru the 45 bag and wind up in the 25 bag. Some will go thru that. Its better than making bho from the damaged material, which dissolves the mycotoxins into the bho.

if you do this, don't use the smallest bag (the 25). Break the hash up very well (follow my how to thread) and your hash will not go moldy or mildewy. If you press it you are guaranteed moldy wet hash.

yes, iso or any solvent (bho) will only concentrate the mycotoxins (poisons in mold and mildew).

I alwayslike to water cure my trims or ugly buds for a week or so and I usually end up with a nice batch of ISO oil. This last run was with some moldyish buds I got from a buddy. Just threw out the severely moldy ones and trimmed the ok ones.
