Its about time someone tells it like they see it. +rep to Uncle Ben for speaking his mind, helping out noobs and not being scared to stand up against a whole thread of pretenders.
Thanks. Exactly what I alluded to in that forum political correctness comment. The good-ol-boyz network and following the herd is somehow more important than learning what makes a plant tick, empowering one's self.

I provided some pretty important info about certain botanical processes but it is apparent it went right over the head of some.

Now, get some sleep!

UB ~ I didn't ask for your advice, nor anyone else. I just posted what I'm currently trying on a Lollipopping thread so there's a record of how my plants looked like going into week 3 of flowering. And when I come back here in 6 or 7 weeks to post the results, others will see how the plants faired, either good or bad.

And please remember that this is my grow, my trial and my time. If I don't mind doing this, why should you??????

well sorry to step right into the middle of a raging battle but i have been following uncle bens advice religously and have read him on several different topics and am getting great results. There may be other ways out there but as far as im concerned uncle bens word is as good as gold. Its about time someone tells it like they see it. +rep to uncle ben for speaking his mind, helping out noobs and not being scared to stand up against a whole thread of pretenders.
amen, ub knows his shit!

Sounds like Uncle Ben has his own herd. 99% of the shit on this forum is BS. I don't follow any herd but that's a cute phrase you keep using. I've done this for myself and I know what I said is true and on top of that you implicitly admitted it yourself. If the plants are crowded and branches are in the dark you need to put in more side lighting, right? What if you can't put in more lights due to heat issues or space or money? That's the circumstances I am talking about and what you can't seem to understand. Of course matching the lighting to the amount of plant you have is ideal but not always feasible.

Your cola pics are nice, I have some of my own just like them but without the leaf curl or P deficiency. They don't really convince me of anything.

And who is this Mr Bomb calling this a thread of pretenders? You joined this site a month ago. What do you know about me? Not a damn thing obviously.

MJ ~ at least you understand that we all have different situations. I tried side lighting on my last grow, but screwing around with 8 different power cords wasn't for me(again little hand strength).

I only had two plants my last grow and I had the room to top(which I did) and got four colas per plant. They weren't huge, but they were good enough for my 1st time.

This grow I had 6 plants in the same space(2 ended up being male)and since I didn't want to screw with side lighting and didn't have the space for four topped plants, I thought I'd give this a shot.

My only reason for posting these pics and info, was to show others who may be interested in lollipopping how these girls fared.

What's the worst that can happen? Failed plants and some new knowledge?

Peace!!

I know what your results will be as I stated before.

This is the results of NOT lollipopping. Your plants should look like this now, full of leaf, nice and green. These are large plants BTW:

....in order to get results like this, about a 26" cola, 4"+ across, crammed in with others:

If this is an experiment, where's your control group? They all look butchered to me. Without a control group, your experiment is useless. Just saying.......

Some people just gotta learn the hard way, so, I rest my case. You're on your own. ;)

Good luck with your experiment,
UB

Uncle ben keeps it real that's all I have to say.

Maybe so, but im constricted to a small grow space and find that autos grow very short and have alot of bud on them :) ..... if i could get some regular seeds that grow short and have this abundent amt of bud on them then i would try it

:blsmoke:stop growing autos :bigjoint:

Im doing a double harvest with my autos. Last night, I harvested my top buds and got 38grams and 28 grams wet... but half the plant has yet to be harvested. i probably will get between 1/2 - 3/4 oz dry and cured from each of the plants... i fucked them up when they was younger cause i wasnt checking the ph and i burned it with nutes.. so if i can get this ph and ppm down to a T then i can probably get 3/4-1 oz off each auto plant after its dried and cured

Your time frame of 2 weeks before flowering and 4 weeks into flowering is a pretty long duration to choose when to lollipop.

I really liked your results, I was wondering what factors lead you to choose when exactly during that time period to begin lollipopping.
OR
Are you suggesting to lollipop off spindly branches during that entire phase?

Thanks much for your help in this post, its been great. bongsmilie
I lollipopped for the first time last grow and I was wondering if you loose anything from doing it?
