You're exactly right!
Prices on everything continue to rise.
People working are getting taxed to death while the ever growing population on welfare, disability and immigrants rise.
Obama and Democrats want this to happen.
We will soon be a socialist nation if things continue.

I found an old pizza shop menu from 5 years ago.
Large pizza - $5.95 and that pizzaria made good pies.
To bad they went outta business.
Prolly would have raised the price to $9.95 or more in todays economy.
This is just partisan bullshit and you know it. You are being taxed no differently than you were 6 years ago. Soon be an socialist nation? What? You're fucking off your rocker dude. Everything else you say here is pure conjecture and not based on anything but hatred. For what? I don't know.

100k income and life's hard. must be a nightmare bro
shit, i make twice that and life is hard. i can't imagine what people making 50k or less are doing. they must all wear gloves when they go digging through the trash for tender morsels of sustenance.

I'll show you some pictures when I get back from rural China. Then you can tell me again how hard life is.

gonna go on a small rant here.. directed at no one.. but most do this..

Most of us were not raised as those who need to put away money and not buy the latest crap every 4 weeks when they sell a new model..
for example..

You are at your job making $2k a month.. your bills are paid each month you live the life you currently have.. You receive a raise of 10% based on the 2k per mo ($200 more per mo income) most of us would end up buying a new car or adding a cable channel heading to the burger place more often.. or even adding to your debt rather then saving any of it.

and we dont teach our kids to save either.. My folks had me open a savings act when I was 13 since I was getting paid.. 50% to savings.. I didn't have a choice... had a nice little savings when I moved out at 18.. able to get all my house furnishings I needed.. and pay rent for a good few mo's too..

damn I look taller on my soap box.. someone push me off..

Nah, you are right on. Many people make a dollar, they spend a dollar. It doesn't matter what they make, its never enough because they suck at managing what they have.

Everyone of my employees has a newer, bigger home than we have. But not a damn one of them have a deed in their hand, or a title to any vehicles they drive. Whatever, party on tonight, wake up early and get your ass back to work tomorrow I guess.

we live almost paycheck to paycheck here (enough set back in dire emergencies) ..we have learned to deal without a bunch of the stuff we use to enjoy... now we have found other things we enjoy..

I have lived in my car for a few months had too much pride to move in with family or friends.. all would have taken me.. I have also had a great deal of cash at one time and truth be told.. I am happier now then I was with all the cash.. and for sure homeless..

Yeah things are quite expensive. Lately I've been thinking a college education might not be worth the cost in time and money.

But you can't say " America will end up socialist" or the like. That is just bonkers. It maddens me when i think about the people that actually lived in a socialist/communist regime and first world people here say they can't pay the electricity bill.

Life is expensive because we like to drive our car alone to a place a couple of miles away, then have a cup of coffee served by trained workers. We like to eat off-season vegetables. We like to be able to extend the time we can store "food" in a frigid box; powered with borrowed electricity from resources running scarce.

We have developed into a society spoiled with materialism. Hell even the poorest nations have materialistic values.

Poor is somebody who can't afford the life he wants.
I am not as convinced that "resources running scarce" is the hinge. They just "found" an oilfield in Australia that apparently outdoes Saudi. What was it doing, hiding?? I think the people are being fleeced by a plutarchy that never stopped reaching into the cookie jar. This sort of unchecked inequality (illustrated by the undeclared inflation this thread discusses) is just the sort of trend that eventually sparked revolutions. The plutarchy, this time, has emarkably powerful tools for gathering and processing information; one could argue that they see it coming. i am living in a colossal laboratory of human nature: what will win, instinct or foresight? Shame the stakes are so very high.

Wow, why would you want to work your life away only to spend all your hard earned cash on utilities. Those have to be majorly urban areas you are describing. My total monthly housing/utilites/HOA fees/cable/insurance TOTAL are less than a grand a month. My house too big for my needs, always cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I would not WANT to have to live my life earning money to just give away. That's insanity......

I pay in currency, not credits, and yeah its totally my fault they spend the money they have and the money they are gonna make tomorrow on shit they don't need today.

something wrong with this picture.
No joke man. Take $1000k fortnight mortgage payments $900 electricity bills $500 water bills $400 gas bills $700 car insurance bills $1200 car insurance $800 monthly car payment $1000 house insurance $1500 house rates (just for living on the land) what a fkn joke this country has become.

So after taking out the expenses plus food clothes and basic living expenses there is not a dollar left to save.
No fancy vacations shit not even a vacation in a fkn tent.

Man The people i have seen in sth east asia are the happiest people you will meet and they don't have shit.
Im my opinion the problem is money, 6000 years ago civilizations lived quite well without money. Money was only introduced as a tool of enslavement and it's still going on 6000 years later. We are the stupid ones.financial collapse is imminent and we are seeing it all over the world today and things are getting worse each and every day. Our rights as human beings are being sucked day by day. Who said the government ownes all the land all the resources? It belongs to the people not the government and they are taking advantage and looking after themselves and big corporations instead of the people something needs to be done. People are poisoned money.

End of rant

We're all just fancier slaves to the old money of the world. Power, greed, and corruption drive the few at the top.

America is being drained by the elite do as we say, not as we do bastards. It's ALL fixed now and CN said it best, they need to know exactly what we are doing and thinking so they can be ready to quash us. There will be no Arab spring here.

Almost half of Americans are on some type of gov't subsidy. Who's paying for that? That number is growing every day; think of it like a scale. Housing is a house of cards. Banks are getting ready for round 2 of the bubble when all of the equity loans start converting from interest only payments to principle+interest payments. Many of those loans were adjustable rate and are tripling (or more). There will be another huge bailout on our tax backs, more foreclosures, and another 20-30% drop in home values. Prices are skyrocketing while wages are stagnant. Taxes will increase to cover all of the freeloaders who appreciate nothing and demand more. Infrastructure is falling apart and we stopped spending on it to provide for those on social services. It is not partisan politics, it's the ultra wealthy vs the poor. As long as they can keep people mad at each other over political talking points designed for that purpose, they will put us further into the box. You fools!

Detroit was approved by the courts to proceed with their bankruptcy last week. Why no one brought it up here, is why we are all doomed. That opened the door for every city to file and cut pensions and loan repayment to pennies on the dollar. That hurts EVERYONE because there is no money for those people to spend to keep the economy going. There is so much more going on.

That RIU island is actually not a bad thought.
