Led strip build

I’m planning on building a low height SOG with co2.

Anyone got any advice on spacing and wattspersqft for led strips to achieve this?

I will end up having the tips of the plants possibly 6 inches away from the strips near the end. My goal is to have 1100ppfd 6 inches away from the leds and Penetration 18inches.

My thinking is I need to aim for a huge number of strips low powered but totalling atleast 40w per sqft to spread the light out really well to have optimal light at close distance?

What you have planned is exactly what you want. If you'll be close to your strips the whole run, 30watts per sq ft is plenty, if high efficiency diodes are used.
So far my plan was going to use 6 strips per square ft and 50w per sqft is that overkill? Samsung f series 56mm single row spread evenly 6 per sqft that is but 6 strips would do 2 sqft

You don't need 50w a square foot dude. Overkill. Literally, 30 is plenty with F Series Strips.

Also would you recommend the 3000k strips or the 3500k. They will be used for straight 12/12 from
Well rooted clones

Mark @welight , would you please give us any and all I do on the UV strips you're waiting on supply for? Me and @Powertech are both really interested in the strips coverage, 1 per 4x4? Also, time on intervals you recommend? Just anything you know about these diodes. Migro claims there completely useless

You mean UVA or UVB/C?

6-280nm/6-310nm strip. I've asked you 4 times about this strip. UVA is not something I would bother with really.

Ok got it, I think I also mentioned currently we have not meter that can measure into sub 365nm, We expect to have some gear soon to test this
Cheers

I would think Migro is a bit out of his depth discussing the performance of UV diodes to be honest, nothing about his videos indicates he has an in depth knowledge of diode architecture or performance:confused:
Alright. So how many of these 285mm 12 diode strips are needed for a 4x4 tent?

Can you just lay out everything you know about these chips? I'm seriously interested in them and info is so limited.
