Why would you think gays want to "Mock" marrige ? For me marriage means a partnership of devotion to each others needs & feelings , also a commitment to share life with each other , are gays incapable of something so simple ?
You cant use religious beliefs as an answer unless you lead your life 100% according to the bible or quran , did you pay your 10% to 20% income tithe to the church this week ?

Most people know it`s a licensed privilege to manage procreation. If people go around just having kids with whoever for whatever, the war will start that day. It`s not just I love you here`s the paper to prove it. Their are custodies invovled to people who can point to a minor child and say ....Mine, not yours.

This thread & its religious tone reminds me of a funny story that happened to me in the 50's.
I remember when i was a kid of maybe 7 or 8 yrs old my black friend Thomas asked to see my tail , i was like wtf you talking about mo fo , his grandfather told him all whites were the devil & born with tails , he told Tom we had our tails cropped at birth but if left a nub & he wanted to see my nub
I had to show him my ass to convince him we didnt have tails & his pappy was fuckin with him .
The contex of this thread just reminded me of the stupidity of yesteryear, who really gives 2 shits who marries what , denying anybody the same rights or privledges in this day n age is sheer ignorance .

Completely wrong. The US Constitution is the law of the land, any amendments are equally as legally binding as the document itself. The 14th amendment was ratified in 1868 guaranteeing all citizens equal protection under the law.
This is the last post I'll be making to you about this since you refuse to acknowledge that you're wrong about it, even in the face of multiple other members telling you as much. The cherry on top for me is when the Supreme Court decides on this in June, you have 2 months left to openly exude reprehensible bigotry towards homosexual couples, so enjoy it while it lasts

The 14th guarantees you equal protection of the law is understood but you keep saying it and I keep saying that is so, but does not draft or alter a draft, it says if you can or not continue that draft based on..... and that is not the case that saw the SCOTUS.
Gays said, since we are now allowed to marry we should be recognized and treated the same as the only marriage recognized. It`s not enough to get your way Gay,....You gotta demand that you are my equal ?
