What does a set of lights like that cost? I also heard that LEDS weren't good enough yet to be able to get a good grow.
i think their like $1000 or something? lots of people have heard leds wont flower but i guess it all comes down to the grower and what they consider good? i think they flower just fine as you can see from my pics. did you even look threw this thread and the bud pics? tons of pics on the 1st page of my led grown buds. i dont see too many do better with HPS

i here you bro its 100+ where i live at also. just cant use HPS in those temps with my setup and no AC. led are my only choice, but it pays for more then its self in one grow in the summer heat when i would have to shut down with HID, so its win win for me, because i really like these lights. enough where i sold my HPS.lol. these lights arnt cheap thats for sure. you just have to really think about it and see if its worth it in ur case. i cant tell you what to do but just show you what they do for me and my grows. i am tripping off of that heat coming up soon, sumer seems to drag on but the cool winter fly by.lol
That is my exact scenario. I think my first move will be to order one LED panel and use it as supplemental with my HPS if weather permits, then add the second one when it gets too hot to run the HPS.

by the way their not my leds.
Sorry, I didn't mean to imply they were actually yours...just that they were the one's you specifically use. :leaf:

i think that would be your best bet, that way you can see if you like them 1st before investing big bucks. these lights still throw out heat for sure but its not radiant heat drying out/burning ur plants. its the IR that harms out plants IMO. just like how our plants do find out side in hot temps. its always good idea to use a Sativa in the summer heat thats from hot areas. silica is also a must.

what up bro? ya it sucks about my CJ and having to pull her 6 weeks into bloom, lots of waisted time, but at-least i was able to find a great healthy strain

pics of the leaves. i kinda think its a Phosphorus deficiency and not Nitrogen?

It looks like its just fan leaves sucking out and the leaves on the buds look unaffected so hard to say there's a deficiency. I'd almost say nute lockout unless you are running a really weak nute schedule in which case bump it but generally its rare to see under-nute. Just had a buddy under 1000HPS running GH at 1600ppm have his plants do the same thing and we flushed them good and they are greening up again so was def lockout.

Just my $.02

Wanted to ask how you feel about the number of plants and their size on this grow. Do you feel that the space is optimized and this could be a heavyweight pull?

its a P def. the XG ferts i was using dont have enough P in them so i am feeding the bat guano tea.

yes i feel this could be a heavy yield for sure. these strain are just starting to bulk up and this is why the P def is showing now, they should blow up the next few weeks. i am happy with my plant# and size and space wouldn't change a thing.

Looking very nice! I am in the process of starting my first led grow. Ive got 4 seedlings starting off under a small 50w UFO and a couple cfl's, and ive got a 90w ufo coming in the mail for when they get a little bigger. Probably going to order some more lights for flowering but i won't have to worry about that for a while. My previous (and first ever) grow i had limited money so i had to settle for a bunch of cfl's and a couple f tubes, even for flowering. The buds were incredibly hairy and covered in crystals, but they were dissapointingly shaggy. Which is why after seeing some of your grows and a few other grower's i decided to go with leds. My area is very well known for cultivation and they fly over with narcocopters ALL THE TIME so regular hid's were out of the question. I will probably start a thread for my grow at some point in the next week or so. I wish you continued luck with your jh's and i will pray to the led gods for your new clones. lol

heres my Jack Heres @ 42 days flowering.
i did a test one the plant on the front left with Age Old Bloom and humic acid and organic Cal/mag and it seemed to help her out and stop the problem from what i could see, so all the others will get the same tomorrow.

Just to let you know Mike from GLH sent me a message saying he changed his new lights and pumped up the power. so this is the new drawl from low to high. 180w,280w,435w instead of 150w,240w,395w. . their going to be bright as hell

Very nice! Just got done reading your 600w led grow. Super impressive to say the least. I'm in the market for leds. What do you think about the 500w lighthouseblackstar led panel that uses the cree 3w chips?

When do these new models come out? And I was wondering, would it be better to get 2 180w panels vs 1 300w panel? Thanks for the help Irish.

i dont know bro never used it or seen a grow with it

i would roll with the two smaller units if ur doing more plants, if just a few plants then the higher watt one would be better. the new lights should already be in effect i believe? not too sure

thanks bro, their just getting into their fattening up stage, next week they should pack on the weight. i expect to lose weight compared to my Chem grows but this grow as all about quality and using organics with no chems at all. its a fair trade off to me, rather smoke some clean super dank and lose yield with organics. their over 3' tall and have bud sites all the way up so it should add up nice at the end
