Inequality and the USA: A nation in denial?

Says the boy with indefensible opinions
I liked his response to my reasoned and considered post; more sarcasm. I wonder if he votes the Republican ticket, if he knows how much it's voting against his own best interest. After all, most Republican voters can be clearly demonstrated to be doing exactly that.

I believe that is the definition of stupid.

Stupid people don't think they're stupid..
Dunning-Kruger!

I love it when one of "them" tries to accuse me of it first... lol. That tactic exponentially complicates the argument to a prohibitive degree. It's almost like cheating. It's almost like a game to see who can levy the accusation first, but while both are trying to wait as long as possible to use it.

Pada, throwing out my voting history, which is not straight repunlican, what are my best interests?

You claim to know what is in everyone's best interest?

You should build a legion, cross the Potomac with it. That way we can name you dictator for life.

Unfortunately I'm starting to think that the post war middle class prosperity was an exception rather than the rule. Unchallenged industrial production combined with labor unions made our people richer than is probably the norm. We're going to return to an upper class and serf class like most of human history.

Not if we decide as a nation that's not acceptable. I'm not okay with it!

You can either have rich and poor, or everyone can be poor with a very select few ruling the place.

We can't decide as a nation to be prosperous. It isn't about deciding. It is about reality. No one decides to be poor.

The only way we can get back is to start a war where hundreds of millions die and the productive capacity of most other countries is destroyed.

We as a nation play partisan politics instead. We bitch about the evil republicans while touting the democrats who are worried most about polling and re-election.

If I wanted to increase wealth disparity I would do the following;
Make sure the too big to fail banks are bailed out at 100 cents on the dollar or more making them bigger, yet more precarious.
I'd increase regulations strengthening the uber-corps positions against competition making it harder for start-ups
I'd print 85B a month to trickle through the banks propping up the stock market making sure the rich get richer.
I'd increase corporate taxes to incentivize those uber-corps into moving profits to a friendlier tax nation.
I'd treat income from vulture capitalism as different from regular income and tax it less encouraging more type of this behavior.

In other words, if I wanted to increase the wealth disparity in this country, I'd support present leadership.

padawan and ttystikk ya'll are the problem you fucking pussies. ya'll live life on your knees like a good hoe's sposed to. this is the easiest society to survive in that has ever been seen. our country won't even let your dumbasses starve when your fucked up plans to make money fail. you guys want other people to stop what works cuz ya'll are too fucking unmotivated to go get it. ya'll talk about how hard work isn't supported and in the same breath praise loser ass pussies who camped in parks for a whole summer. if those fucks would've got a job even at minimum wage they would of been 5000 dollars richer by the time occupy was turned into a heroin junkie encampment. no shit it's not easy and you're gonna fail more than succeed. fuck ya'll pussies my pregnant wife and I were fucking homeless 10 years ago. I was "raised" in poverty cuz my parents were too fucking into them selves to consistently work during their lives and put their own food on the table. my wife and I had a plan and we stuck to that shit. I took us 5 years before we had enough money to consistently pay our bills on time. no extra money for bullshit. most of kids I knew from when I was younger are still in the exact same place they were 10 years ago because they are fucking lazy a few of them are are fairly well off now because they got educations . no shit this countries not the fucking same as it was 50 years ago. 40 hrs a week isn't gonna cut it anymore. if you're at the bottom you need to be working 60-80 hr's a week. you could take someone from almost any other non western country and they would fucking love the chance to get 60 hr's a week at 10 bucks an hr. you've been sold the lie. nobody is going to make money for you and you should know that. it's everyone for themselves and if you can't pull your own you get cut off the team but luckily there will be food and refreshments for all after the try outs.

the federal reserve has no bearing over your life. you make at most 12000 a year i can tell by how ya'll react. the fed doesn't give a shit about you why would they? you cost them more money than you contribute. look at ya'll mad about interest rates oh no something is gonna charge me more for money that isn't even mine hahaha ya'll are so fucked in the head. It has no logic at all that the fed would try to keep you down. it makes more sense that you'll be rewarded for making money. when you start making money you can borrow more money and in the end give away more of your money to the fed in the form of interest. I don't play the game with them I have no credit I don't buy things I can't afford it a really simple philosophy. until the last 2 years I never had a vehicle that cost over 1000 dollars because i sure as fuck wasn't gonna throw away my money on interest rates that are fucking ridiculous just so i could keep up appearances. I am by far not rich but my family stays fed we have a roof over our heads and we have enough liquidity to deal with problems when they arise. live below your means and save every damn penny you can sniff out it's that simple.

if you are voting for either dems or repub you are voying for the status quo , when is everyone going to realize this ? yall are playing right into their hand ,distracted by petty shit of their making to keep u occupied while they raid the hen house . i think that the best thing for this country will be souplines for the masses and super inflation , because nothing focuses the mind like a grumbling stomach and freezing asses .

Those big bad democwats...

I'm not blaming just the dems. The pubs started this ball rolling. I'm blaming my fellow citizens who cheer this idiocy because they voted for the man in charge. Presently it's the idiot dems doing the cheerleading for the same idiotic economic policies they bitch about when the "other guy" is in charge.

I'll bitch about the pubs when it's their turn, as I'm sure you'll join me then.

No, it's not dems, it's people like you pad, who bitch about wealth disparity and vote for people who enact the exact policies that widen the income gap....while blaming the other team.

Anyone wish to take a deeper look at how the corporate world fucks you over with stock buyback schemes?
There's no point talking about inequality in the ethereal sense. Let's get specific...
