Hey Indian growers ! Totally of topic but I'm an Aussie travelling in India at the moment, I'm currently in rahjastan , jodpur to be exact and am wondering how easy it is to score here. Who to ask and what not . I went to a Bhang shop and had a few cookies in jaislamer and they did fuck all I want to get onto some charas. From here I go to udapuir. Pushkar Jaipur and Agra then down south . Also are there any opium dens still around in rahjastan and how safe is it to go hunting around and ask? Thanks a lot!

Hmm... dunno much about Rajasthan Pushkar and Jaipur...Best way is to ask a fellow tourist who was there before your arrival... can't say anything about localites.... if you want good charas the best place to visit is up North in the Himalayas. Go to Parvati valley, Kasol, Tosh, Malana there you get the premium stuff unadulterated. When do you head down south to and where in south?

Hey all,

I never saw this thread till today and I read the whole thread!

Great work elchupacabra, blackhawk, heisenbuds and braddahhee :D

Am a noob considering the experience you guys had with indoor grows. I hope you guys are doing it organic and without any bottled nutes. You will be smoking toxic shit if you rely on pesticides and inorganic fertilizers. Just my thoughts anyway.

Good luck and happy growing.

Cheers!

Toker.

Looks like everyone just vanished! Braddahee, elchupa where are you?
I've got 2 females budding nicely. Just waiting my time out and taking care of them. I believe there are another 4-6 weeks from a full bloom after which I can proceed with the chop.
pics coming up in a few days. Till then... peace

Wusup guys.
Heisenbuds, sup bro. Was kind of unmotivated to post for a while, since my pet started digging up my soil, and also some personal issues I been dealing with... Anyways, my plant is also lookin like she needs at least another 6-8 weeks. She's pushing 8 ft and I'm seeing some frost on the lower branches, recently! Shit, I'll get a pic at some point lol.. How's your girls looking?
EDIT- I've been using a hose to wash down the grow space and plant every cpl days and haven't had any mites, since! Definitely still getting a pest sprayer, tho.

These are my girls budding for almost 8 weeks now. The buds are coming in nicely.
I only have one question though. The tips of the pistils have been turning brown... not that the buds are maturing but I believe due to the heat some pistils are burning out at the tips. This has been a slight concern cuz being an outdoor grow sunlight is a must but I don't want to roast out the bud before the chop!

Yea idk they look kinda stringy and thin. Those are the ones in straight red soil, right? I remember a number of mine would grow sort of like that, until I used a looser soil mix to start. I don't see any burnt hairs, but these guys can handle/need as much sun as possible, so don't deprive her of any. I'm gonna start using molasses from tomorrow. You using any nutes?

I completely agree with you that the stuff you get in India is very very bad. I lived in USA for 5 years and i really miss the stuff you get there. I am tying to start growing so came across this forum to get some advice from people or make some new friends. Some great works by people in India. I am very very impressed by the amount of knowledge elchupacabra, blackhawk, heisenbuds and braddahhee have. I really get headache smoking what the people here sell. So for now, I have ordered some from america that I happily got it delivered to me, while i try to grow. My first try was a complete fail. It would be great if some1 here could help me out.

Yep.... straight red soil. Growtabbs are the only nutes I've been using for now
You should try add some Goor. Maybe dried banana peels, also. Ratanshi's Biogro and Green Gold are some good organic ferts you can get for 40-50 bucks. I also seen a place next to Crawford market stock them.
My plant hit 8 ft and is almost 6ft at her wide point! Definitely didn't expect this lol. Buds are taking forever, tho.. I've sampled some real premature nugs from the bottom branches. Taste sweet, mild cerebral, decent body, and seemingly decent CBD level. Looks like she needs at least another 7+ more weeks.
I know.. pics will come haha

Welcome to the boards, bro!
You doing outdoor or indoor? Good choice ordering seeds.. You should have much faster and danker harvests. I'm not some grow pro, but will try help with whatever little I know.

PICS! So I got 2 plants budding nicely but lower leaves are yellowing and withering... bit of a concern. Also I can't spray the pesticides cuz i dont want them getting into the pistils and spoiling the final nug.

This is the first one. Mix of red soil and coco soil. Got Pistils but no trichomes as yet. I believe I gotta wait another month or so... but correct me if I'm wrong.

This is the second one. As you can see... good budding but leaves are yellowing and falling off. Can't find a solution for that problem so just holding on.
This one has just started getting a fair amount of trichomes beneath the pistils and on the leaves so I guess another month or so and its good to go.

One concern is that this girl is so close to the end that I do not want to screw this up and have to take better care than I have before. Still the leaves falling off are leaving me clueless where I'm going wrong. Any natural nutrients I can add to the soil?
Yo braddahee yea I'll try the dried banana peels... seems the closest and easiest solution so far.

Also about your plant... it's budding but not fast enough. I had a similar issue with my first ever grow... I grew it for a whole year and it grew up to 6 feet but never budded properly and finally died.
My concern is that winter is getting over soon. The plant has to realise its winter (or rather a change to budding season meaning more darkness and less light). So check if you are giving it adequate darkness and there is nobody else apart from you disturbing the grow area to quicken the process. Also run a check and see if any light is upon the plant at night.
Specially between 11 to 6 am... you have to make sure it is in a dark enough surrounding. (Not even street lights or building lights for that matter) Just letting the plant be also counts.
Thats the main problem/advantage of outdoor grow. That it is the plant, not you who decides budding speed.

Nice, bro! I can't really tell what's up with the leaves, but I've had a similar problem with my fan leaves, esp when I had mites. The buds seem to be coming along, tho, so that's good! They should be done before mine for sure lol.
I think you made some valid points about the street lights.. hearing your story is definitely a scary thought! I also considered this last week because I noticed the bottom 1/3 of the plant, and back side(which tends to be closest to complete darkness at night, due to being in the shadow of the wall) are really the only parts that have nugs. The rest is mostly pistils. So yeah.. I proly did underestimate the 2 street lights about 40 meters away and a level down, since I didn't have this issue with my last cpl grows. I guess I also didn't take into consideration that this plant is like 5-6 times the size of anything I've grown down here, so it really does have a much better chance of being affected by those lights. I put some tarp up. It doesn't completely block out the light, but I'll give it a shot for now...

Yup... don't underestimate the street lights... if you are seeing light on the leaves means its bothering the plant.
One simple pointer is that by 7.30-8pm your plant should be deprived of any light as much as possible. Also it would be a huge task
for such a gigantic grow. But for now you have got a solid month to sort out the problem. Make the most of it... cuz once summer starts march end - april then you would not get the same darkness as now... but more importantly you'll miss the whole season and screw up the process for your girl
