India Grower's Thread

This is a shout out and a thread for all growers in India to post their bud porn (please, no pictures of spiked stuff...), plants,
grows, and pretty much anything that comes to mind that doesn't involve male genitalia and is related to your grow. comments,
questions, ideas, everything is welcome. there's no such thing as 'spamming the thread' with your stuff, as we indians are
generally used to that - try cramming 1.3 bn people in a third of the usa and let's see how mutilated the meaning of the term
'personal space' becomes.
Don't ask to meet people, I don't know if there are other threads for that, but it's not this one.
If you happen to know where the picture was taken, THATS GREAT! that's it.

And now i request the Indians to do what they do best - let us flood and overrun the area with our presence
here's my biggest landrace

guys, my last grow was a fail as i had to leave the town for a month urgently n the plants died. (bog seeds under cfls in a cardboard box with no money spent at all)

now i have a 4x2x5 feet (breadth x depth x hight) grow cabinet out of which 3x2x5 is the main growing area, rest is for mother plant, seedlings and venting/electrical control etc.

seeds i have are
5 - northern lights fem
5 - ak48 fem
5 blue mystic auto

I need advise if i should use a 250 watt HPS or a 400 watt for the space, i.e., 3x2x5

m planning to keep 6 plants in there at a time doing scrog.

initially i would be growing 5 blue mystic autos in the main chamber and 1 ak48 and 1 northern lights in mother, when i harvest the blue mystic auto i would put 6 clones (3 each strain) for flowering in main chamber.
do you guys think it would be a nice idea to do that?

and what would be perfect soil mixture?
i have got perlite, bone meal and coco meal.
do i need to put bio farm note if i plan to use general hydro nutes??

lastly, i was thinking if an automated drip irrigation system would work for cannabis plants?

thank you every one, happy growing :)

hey man...to answer your questions

the first question about lighting, to be honest, i'm not a good person to give advise, i'm much more of an outdoor grower, i have a little cfl thing for the first 2-3 weeks of growth indoors but that's about it

so if i'm correct, you have 1x2x5 for a mother plant, seedlings, venting, electrical control etc., and 3x2x5 for the main grow area?
that doesn't sound right to me. frankly i think you'll have a bit of a tight fix keeping a mother plant in there and flowering non-auto
plants at the same time, but maybe i can't visualize it right, picture would help

if you plan on using gh nutes, anything organic is useless. mix 10% perlite 90% coco and use your GH nutes.

automated drip irrigation is not advisable. the plants need to stretch their roots when grown in containers. if grown outdoors in
the ground or in large containers then it's fine, otherwise the roots collect around the bottom half of the pot instead of spreading
out evenly.

for your setup i'd advise you to use the entire area to grow 12/12 from seed, with 8 sq feet you can certainly do quite a bit. first
fill half the area with how many ever plants suits your method of growing, and when they are roughly halfway through their life
cycle fill the other half of the chamber with seeds. when the second batch of plants is about halfway through it's life, or when the
first batch is done, harvest the first batch, and fill up the now empty half with seeds again.

however i wouldn't waste those blue auto seeds, i say grow those under a constant 20/4 and for the last few weeks 12/12
and then start 12/12 from seed - that's my personal advise. saves you electricity and gets you very very comparable and
even better results - check out del's 12/12 from seed thread

Not home nw so can't click picture. But here's the rough design. Was designed for CFLs initially. Replace the the board mounted with CFLs with a 400 watt hps.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. :)

Siick.. I found some Indian growers!! Good stuff Elchupacabra! Yeah Blackhawk! I got some CFL's and cpl fans a while back too.. I was considering veging/cloning indoor and flower outside! Got some decent results from my first Indian str8 outdoor tho!
Been a few years, and I'm really trying to get some plants going again! I got a nice 2 1/2 foot plant, but its male.. also got couple just sprouted. All came from bag seed.. I really want some quality beans! You guys know where I can get some in Mumbai, or even shipped from elsewhere in India?? I found a sorta Hydro shop and some nursery's down here for soil, nutes, etc.. all I really need now is some good seeds! I went through like 70 bag seed to get 2-3 growing lol.. I'm used to smoking/growing some crip buds in the states. All the stuff I been getting in this city has been s**t!

I just seen you're grow log. It should work for the 2 plants, as long as you have good constant ventilation! Like cooltube, ducting, good fans.. I'd try the 250 first tho to see how you manage the heat. I used to use a 400 in a 6X4X4 tent.. but my friend used 1 or 2(cant remember) in a box much smaller!

the temps out here are about 13-18 degree Celsius at night. do u think a 200 watt would be fine with a 8 inch exhaust fan and a small inlet fan. plus a 6 inch awl mount fan blowing inside??

If the inlet u mention is the hole on the base which brings in fresh air.. I dont think you should put a smaller less powerful fan(compared to the exhaust) on it. I think it cancels out the airflow that way. Just leave the bottom inlet open, and the top exhaust fan should do the job. Well, thats how I did mine 5 yrs ago. Maybe put some netting or something on the inlet to keep pests out.
I also agree with Kingfisher that the 1 foot width for the mother is kinda small..
