Improving chances of Females from seed

Good thread

I think nsk has a thread I was watching where he is testing but I dont think he has.enough going to make a hard decision

I too have read about tweaking the environment to coax out the lady if you will

im not saying it works or doesnt but im gonna try my.self as well

not.like its too hard to change the environment they are in

thanks Cold$moke....yeah I wanted to have 5 plants in each gender friendly room, but only have 3 in each, so the results of the experiment may not be considered conclusive but will give me a better indication of the answer to this debate of pre-determined gender vs environment influences.

For those who haven't seen my thread, I have 2 rooms, one with a female friendly environment and the other is male friendly.
I have also used a much debated chart that claims males & females have a different physical shape, thus have put the male seeds in the female room and visa-versa
Even if this chart is total BS, the environment experiment is still valid

id be happy to!! seriously even in a bad batch ive never gotten less than 7 females out of a bag of 10,,,unless i get a couple that dont even sprout.. i just ordered 1 lady purple feminized seed,, it was 11 bucks and didnt even pop..i think when seed companys charge so much for seeds they should guarenty germination.. i also opened a breeders pack of lemon kush from female seeds and it was supose to have 4 seeds in it and there was only 2..youd think companies would count the seeds better or throw in an extra 1 for good measure or somthing for the prices we pay for seeds!!!!

I contacted rare dankness cause I got 2 out of 12 seeds that looked funky
one is twins the other is most likley a dud

I asked them about it they told me they are sold in packs of 10 so those 2 were extra lol

i believe they have quite a scandal going on with seed prices,,20 bucks for a fem or 10 bucks for 1 reg and then what are the chances if you only buy 1 it doesnt even pop and ur out 10-20 dollars... really seed companys need to either guaranty germination or give you 2 for every 1 you buy... ive spent thousands of dollars on seeds and get really pissed when they dont even germinate, especially when i go through the process of air tight packing them and adding a silica gel to every pack before putting them in the fridge.. i litterally have an entire fridge just for seeds..

i wish i had gotten extras,, i only bought 1 cause it was feminized,, and end up with nothing...i called the place i bought the seeds from and they said they will replace them in my next order but its not the sellers fault the seed companys miss count or sell seeds that wont sprout. and the sellers cant make it buisness to replace or refund the seed companys muck ups as they would lose money..im happy with the place i order from my problems lie with the seed companies..

They may try to help but most refuse to send to the us BUT SOME DO

as it is illegal for them to discuss it in certain circumstances

I would say my souvenir was not collectable

I just had to have 2 orders from attitude reshipped the first reship made it

but did not have my monthly promo or the ufos

I emailed them they said they would include them on the next reship and take "special care" of me for being understanding (ie catching it lol)
so we will see in a week or 2

i order from midweeksong and ive always gotten my packeges within 8 days and im on my 9th or 10th order they are great! great customer service and he is replacing the seed that didnt pop and the ones missing in the package,, i feel bad as he is loseing money and its no fault of his owne...as i said my problem is with the seed breeder or companies not with midweeksong as they have been really good to me and have even gone out of their way to find me some strains that are not listed on their site...but your right i cant talk about growing or ask growing questions as they are suivinirs.lol

My last order from ngr took a week herbies took a week too just tude got nabbed lol

maybe you shouldn't buy one seed at a time, knowing that mother nature takes her course as she decides, you should make better choices.

im curious to the predetermined sexing as well.

Im on my first grow with all random bag seed. all 4 plants sexed girls. i was quiet shocked. already onto day 15 and good buds forming already. kept them in a good enviornment setting.

Most bag seed nowa days are

"Self" seeded or s1

these seeds will mostly behave as feminized seed but beware
The ability to "throw nanners" is present

ive grown plenty O fire from "bagseed" but most threw nanas if pissed off

and some threw them out just cause

Me too...got lotsa killer bud from bagseed also...and lotsa hermies along the way.

I'm I wrong in assuming that all bag seed would be a very risky grow? Would a seed not indicate that there was a herm in there somewhere?

For indoor that is the most likely case, outdoor is just as likely to be wild pollination.

Either way not a great bet. Bag seed should be saved for a long hike with your GPS in the spring and again in the fall. That is as much effort as they deserve. It makes for a fun hike as long as you don't set expectations high.

Iv used birth control for a while and have had 100% success - haven't had males in years . Some people get on me but whatever I grow some bomb ass weed. From what if seen no negative side effects.

Not sure if your joking or for real. I looked it up and seems like a legit old school technique, but not near 100%. You using some fancy new birth control? Maybe the pills people get for sex changes would be even better, lol, I think I would stick with colloidal silvering the originally female pollinator.

Not joking at all. Regular BC from my female friends. Obvious not from the off week...at least in my experience it's been nothing but beneficial. Like I said , haven't had males in years. Maybe I'm that freakin lucky ay?
