Just got an email from evolution grow led with the spec sheets for their quad9 model Series what do you all think??: Quad2Model: Module 9
Rated wattage: 550w
True Watts: 315W
Voltage: 120V - 240V
Type of Fixture: LED Full Cycle
Lumen's Output: 21000
LED chip: CREE/BridgeLux 3w (5w Rated)

I can tell you that their lying and I would skip it. Cree or Bridgelux don't make all those nm, and all 5w rated? I don't think so from the pics. Looks to me like a bysen panel:-)

Realy... so contacting the supplier and getting true bulk deals (usualy 30% below retail...) isn't an option? maybe you should try it some time... its called bartering, But even if you tried you wouldn't get far with those people skills... retail consumer prices are usually laughable and hiked by at least 30%, and paying $2500 for 4x4 coverage ($5000 for my 4x8 tent...) is just down right hilarious...

Lets just put that in terms of marijuana.... $200/OZ is cheap weed, the price here in BC... a GREAT grower gets 100~ Grams per plant, around 3.5 Oz's... thats $700/plant, $700 into $5000 = 7.1 plants.... My 4x8 Sea Of Green = 1 plant per week, thats 7 weeks on average to pay for 2 lights?

This is about efficency... if LED's save me $30/ bill, Cost $5000 to buy and take 7 weeks of weed (not smoking anything...) to pay off is it efficient? Its more efficient to stick with my HPS if thats the case the extra $35/month bill means i can grow for 142 months or 11 years Before i pay the $5000 for lights ....

But it wouldnt say Apache. Duh.lol The diy thread has a lot of good info if you want to save a bunch, or you could always call the manufacturer, tell them you will endorse their light on riu, that will get ya fat discount from what I hear. A couple guys in the diy thread have grows posted that look great.

So they will give you bulk discount(which I stated bulk price in the first place so not sure what your arguing) for 2 lights worth of sales to them...your little sale isn't enough for them to give you that much more than the advertised bulk price. Long story short if you contact the suppliers and can build it cheaper with the same primary parts(chips, drivers, heatsink, lenses) for just a couple of lights then let us know.

You asked about a light and people gave them to you based on what works and will truly perform to your specs.
For me at $0.36/kwh it pays pack in less than 1.5yrs, not counting cooling savings too. So we are on different pages about pay back. But it's your money, just telling you what works.

Not that you care, but you can save a little and get it for 2K. Good luck with what ever you pick or build. Come back and show the results and it would be much appreciated by many.

Cool. I had a feeling something was up with the info they sent me. Just didnt look rite. I'm going to wait for the xgs190 to come back in stock. Thnks bro!

Thinking of getting 1 or 2 of the new blackstar 240 uv leds to shove in my 2x4x5 tent with my 400w hps... Can anyone comment on blackstar products?

know there were some ppl looking at the CREE Bulbs, got an email from HD today 3-packs of the 60w equ.'s, 2700k are 36% off today ONLY

I just ordered 6 packs to go through and replace the house, w/ a couple extras to play..

Well that doesn't help. The offer is online only. I don't want to order them if they aren't CREE. I want to use some CREE bulbs for side and target lighting.

There are two users right off the top of my head that have opened separate threads talking about and explaining, how to get off the globes, the first went as far as looking the chips and determining the actual CREE emitters (went in as far to tell you WHICH cree chips were used... for a while people were HUNTING for the "better" of the two chips used..) ........ AND there is a captain's old thread, look around dude. There are plenty of users that could speak to all this as well, do some research. Frankly you spamming *#&%@()%*#$&?? on the xgs or your know-how irritates the fuck out of me, you don't know how that panel performs, that being said- I am setting back watching your thread in hopes that you ARE right about COBs.

If I can ill link all those threads, be safe growers
