We use sumagic at bonnies ...... http://www.gpnmag.com/plant-growth-regulator-revolution-changing-commercial-production-plants
" In the past, plant growth regulators have, for the most part, been considered tools used by growers to control plant height. This will probably remain the primary purpose of these chemicals. However, there are some new areas where growers are using plant growth regulating chemicals.EthylBloc (MCP) is an ethylene-action inhibitor, which inhibits the negative effects of ethylene. This product is being used to help prevent shattering of flowers, eliminate leaf yellowing, reduce flower browning, and stop flower and leaf drop. EthylBloc is a wettable powder, and when mixed with a liquid buffer solution, releases a gas (MCP). This gas binds to the ethylene receptor in plant cells, inhibiting the negative effects of ethylene. EthylBloc is approved by the EPA and is manufactured by Floralife.Fascination, a combination of GA4+7 and BA, is about to be introduced and labeled for several new uses. The first labeled use of this product will be for the prevention of leaf yellowing in Easter, Oriental and LA Hybrid lilies. Foliar chlorosis is considered the primary factor contributing to low post-production longevity of potted Easter lilies. Many growers watch as their crop goes through a gradual leaf yellowing, which usually begins near or before the visible bud stage. Growers can also experience a post-harvest leaf yellowing of their crop, which may be dramatic, with rapid leaf yellowing occurring on finished plants prior to sale. When used preventively, Fascination plant growth regulator can inhibit both types of leaf yellowing. This product must be used carefully, however. It is intended to be applied only to the lower foliage. If the immature leaves come into contact with the spray solution, an unwanted stem elongation may result. Uniformity of coverage is extremely important because the spray is only effective where it comes into contact with the leaves. The second labeled use of Fascination is to prolong the length of flowering in Easter, LA Hybrid and Oriental lilies. Current research on ‘Nellie White’ Easter lily has shown that one application of Fascination prolonged the length of flowering from five to eight days to 18 to 24 days. This label for Fascination was approved by the EPA and is expected to be available from Valent USA in early 2001.ProGibb (GA3) is another plant growth regulator that is being developed for use in a number of different floricultural crops. Its uses include breaking flower bud dormancy, increasing flower number and size, promoting earlier flowering and increasing stem elongation for the production of tree forms of geraniums and fuchsias. This product will be distributed by Valent USA and is expected to be available in the near future.AVG (aminoethoxyvinylglycine) is an amino acid that inhibits the onset of ethylene production in plants. The benefits of this product are very similar to EthylBloc, as it extends flower longevity and reduces flower senescence, flower bud abscission and leaf yellowing. AVG is applied as a spray, which could make it more predictable and easier to use than a gas such as MCP. This product has an approved label for some crops, but currently does not have a name. It will hopefully be available from Valent USA by the year 2002.The Evolution of Growth RegulatorsThrough enhanced crop production, plant growth regulators have a very exciting and positive future with today’s floriculture producers. Growers are developing many new application methods for the chemicals currently available and will continue to discover many new uses and new chemicals for plant growth regulators in the future.plantgrowthregulatorrevolution.pdf

Ok... so then does this shit HAVE to be used just because your using "gravity"?
I mean if so, what happned when the people used it on there crops before they
Knew this, & they had used only the gravity?

ok.... almost any chemical you add that reduces the plant stretch is a PGR (plant growth regulator)

Paclobutrazol is a PGR that retards plant growth by inhibiting the plants natural production of natural growth hormones called Gibberellins. This results in shorter internode length, early fruit set. Paclobutrazol is also marketed as a fungicide. Paclobutrazol is banned in most European countries not approved for food crops in the USA....Testing has shown to cause liver damage in rats

best thing you can add for bigger buds is a bigger light and better genetics.

I like, big, buds and I cannot lie

Not sure what you're referring to as "this shit". Do you mean Paclo?
That's the active ingredient in bushmaster, gravity, bushload, bud blood, and all of those other "hardeners." It's what puts the gravity in gravity.

Better to search for quality genetics before pouring carcinogens into your "medicine"

I've been using this stuff called MOAB (mother of all bloom) by The Mad Farmer. It literally blew my buds up!!! You only have to use it twice during the flowering cycle. And you will see the difference over night.

Another good trick is molasses. That shit will get your buds nice and dense!
I highly recommend molasses,$ 2 buck and it works for me it improves overall taste & yield...

For what it's worth, MOAB is just monopotassium phosphate. Exact same thing as FoxFarms beastie bloomz. It's the base of nearly every bloom booster on the market. You can source it for a lot cheaper as a raw salt (all they're doing is repackaging it and marking it up a bit.)

They really do try and take advantage of people who don't understand what are in these products...

www.cropking.com Sells monopotassium phosphate for $3.90 per single lb. And if you buy 50 lbs, it's less than $2/lb.

FoxFarm and madfarmer are selling this exact same product in pretty packaging for around $20/lb.

Do you use molasses in veg also? I got some for flowering my next crop but dont know you I should be feeding it during veg also.

I don't understand the logic behind passion telling you only to feed molasses the last few weeks in flower... You use molasses for the sugar. The sugar feeds the microbes in the soil. The microbes in turn break down organic matter into plant-available nutrients. It doesn't make sense to only feed the last few weeks of flower.

You might as well feed the whole time. This will ensure you have a healthy, active soil throughout the whole grow.

Thats exactly correct. Molasses doesnt do shit unless your going organic. This is another internet myth that has been passed around. Of coarse the ones who preach it are going to argue that I am wrong and they have seen first hand what a difference it makes.

Also, Gravity is no snake oil. Snake oil meaning bullshit, placebo, gimmick. Gravity does exactly what it says it will do. I grow organic, my buddy doesn't. He uses gravity and holy shit. You could shoot his buds with a sling-shot. Hard as rocks, his green crack actually hurt your fingers trying to break it down.

I have studied and read lots of info on Gravity, its ingredients, and the effects that could happen with it. I choose not to use it, but I still burn with my buddy sometimes.

MOab is actually 3 things. And it works bomb. Its hot as shit however so use it at half dose and half dose base nute.
[h=2]Ingredients Explained:[/h]
  • Mono Potassium Phosphate – a synthetic fertilizer that is processed by mixing phosphoric acid with potassium chloride and then heated to remove all traces of hydrogen and chloride. It is used widely as a fertilizer when high levels of phosphorous and potassium are needed.
  • Mono Ammonium Phosphate – a synthetic fertilizer formed when phosphoric acid is mixed with ammonia. It is mainly used in the blending of dry agricultural fertilizers. It supplies Nitrogen (11%) and Phosphorous (52%).
  • Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B-1) – a B vitamin which helps plants resist transplant shock and assist in growth.
