I Want Big BUDS!

I am growing some NYC Diesel (5x), White Widow (1x), and Ultra Dutch (2x).

I am using
mother earth super tea for my flower nutes.

I have flipped them to 12/12 from 10-14cm height clones.

I want my buds to be big and dense. I have a 250w HPS on them. What is the best nutrient to add to my regime for bigger denser buds.?!?

I've been using this stuff called MOAB (mother of all bloom) by The Mad Farmer. It literally blew my buds up!!! You only have to use it twice during the flowering cycle. And you will see the difference over night.

Another good trick is molasses. That shit will get your buds nice and dense!

Hmm. interesting. just looked it up and its got an enormous amount of P and K. Some say it works awesome and some swear on other products. This is such a hard choice.

Gravity works well to help with bud swell. The first step to large buds is a good sized healthy plant. Lighting also has a lot to do with bud size and density. A friend of mine did his first grow under 250w HPS and the yield was not that great. On his second and 3rd grow he switched to a 750w HPS all other things the same and yield more than doubled.

for what you are asking you will need to make. bunch of changes. 5-6" plants going to flower? 250w light? you will get some buds, but not big, dense ones. my plants are at least 24" going in to a room with 3000w and i pull 3.5oz per plant.

..well that's partially not true. I have seen massive buds from small ass grows. I am doing a mini SOG with 8 plants in a 2'x2'x5' box, I understand that they will not pull a massive amount but I know I can increase the size of them since my previous grow. The reason I have such a small grow is because its in a box in my closet. I can't put a 3000w HPS in my closet. I do have a 250w/400w w/ HQI so I could upgrade to 400w or try out HQI. A better way to explain what I am asking is I want massive buds for "my grow". I have already yielded 14g from one plant. I did not add any nutes nor did I add any boosters. My question was what can i do to get my buds bigger via additives! obviously my best bet would increase lighting but I am not doing that this grow. I want to know what can I add that will increase my buds size from the previous grow.

How much weight you think Gravity will add.

I used Gravity in the last 3 week of flower in my grow and I was no impressed at all with it. It did not seem to do anything but I may have started using it too late I dont know. Molasses will be used in my next round along with Gravity. Now that I have harvested I can give a better opinion on Gravity.

MEST, big bud, Humboldt honey..... That's what I use with T5's, but it's more than just nutrients that gets nice dense, resinous buds .....Chernobyl @50 days 20121030_201707.jpg20121029_000727.jpg

It's mostly down to genetics. Nothing you can do will change how big your buds are as long as you give them enough food and keep them happy (humidity, temps etc). That is your job as a farmer of course. But you can't push nature too hard....
Overfeeding plants results in nutrient burn, not bigger buds. Overfeeding plants one type of nutrient more than others may result in nutrient lock-out problems. Balance is key.

Biggest buds yet here are from DynaGro GROW and occasional Bloom, in 3 gallon coco pots, vegged to 14 inches or so, 600 hps... genetics are the key though.
People on here preach the high N feeds, and avoid the high P K additives. I gave it a try and I now definitely agree.
Finally going to cross the lb per 600hps line (4 plants). Have been working at it for a while.

welcome to the world..... 1 lb. per 600 is totally doable..... my goal is 2 break 2 lb. per 600.... which is going to be more a challange in canopy control then anything else....

Rock that shit hank!

P9215106.jpgDont use Gravity unless you care to add Pacabutrazol to your medz , yes Gravity now carries a warning label , a sticker untill there new printed bottles are out ..

I work in a Hydro store and its no Bullshit , sure Pacabutrazol is used on food crops around the world but its sure the hell is not needed to make big fat dense buds , take a look at these . I use Maxi Bloom and Kool Bloom with no added snake oil gimic bullshit ....

Keep your girls happy with the basics and they can reward with big dense nugs !

Gravity: contains 516ppm Paclobutrazol (carcinogen)

Look no Additives...just flower fert at 1/3 strength...top cola was 1.5 oz....its all the strains genectics

I think I will get more weight per plant this grow. My vegging plants are looking much better than the first time and larger as well. I learned a lot from the first grow but still learning.

Hey.. what's up? Well, I was really thinking about buying me some "Gravity" till I seen
This,lol.. I do know that its pricey! But what the hell is this "Pacabutrazol" stuff you speak of?
Is it another additive? And why does one have to add it, if so? Anyways, do you or
Someone else know of another hardner, that isn't through the "roof" $ wise? And that
Works really, really good? Thanks guys.. later.

ok.... almost any chemical you add that reduces the plant stretch is a PGR (plant growth regulator)

Paclobutrazol is a PGR that retards plant growth by inhibiting the plants natural production of natural growth hormones called Gibberellins. This results in shorter internode length, early fruit set. Paclobutrazol is also marketed as a fungicide. Paclobutrazol is banned in most European countries not approved for food crops in the USA....Testing has shown to cause liver damage in rats
