i consider the end of seedling stage and beginning of veg stage at about 3 nodes. it's a debatable subject but i use the following factor; when the plant no longer uses cotyledons for energy and begins using soil for food it is in the veg stage.

I see, and based on mine being done with its first node, starting its second what do you think? maybe a week left till it begins veg ? and these are healthy seedlings even though they are getting their lean on ?

at this rate i wanna guess around days 28-35, maybe a little longer. i consider start of veg when the stem starts peeling, usually after 5 sets. i use an actual beginning sign of the veg growth, cause time is worthless, as environmental factors can really slow growth. i only worry about timetable during flower when it actually matters. growing takes patience.

when they start to grow considerably faster in a few days than they grew in previous weeks
they will grow more from day 14 to day 21 than they grew in the first 14 days
from day 21 to day 28 they will grow more than they did in the first 21 days
more than double in size in a week

so i would say veg is around 21 days onward for me

this I know, my main concern is why, with an HID light straight above them, are they growing crooked like that?

some will be more spindly than others, it helps to get them under the light as soon as the tap root is about 1cm
they will straighten up when the stem develops, you can help support them with matchsticks or cocktail sticks etc

In my limited experience that RH is too low for a plant at that stage of life. I ran around %60 during the seedling phase. Got a humidifier you can bust out?

You can certainly adapt to different circumstances, I'm really just talking about optimal conditions. I wouldn't run seedlings under %50 RH unless I had no way to fix it. A simple humidifier will solve it. Preferable an ultrasonic one as it won't raise the temps in your space.

That humidifier should at least help, give it time to work and don't put it spitting out on electronics like lights and stuff.

Do you plant on topping it? A bunch of people say that you shouldn't but in my experience, it works really well.☺
