Bag seed's I call Unknown Louy.... My old work partner's name is Lou and the seeds came from some of his grow. If they are the same as the last bean I popped from him it will have an awesome citrus flavor.

1 inch tall

This one had moisture on it when I turned the lights back on a while back so it has some margin damage. 2.25 inches tall. I am sure she will be just fine!!IMG_0716.JPG

Yesterday I spent an hour in the room. I up-potted the Unknown Louy's into 1/2 gallon pots with my re-amended soil. Perfect timing as they were just starting to spin out at the bottom of the cups and had roots just starting to poke out of the sides of the soil.
I have found that they tend to do better if I catch them before the full spin out happens. This was day 17 from emerging from the soil.

I also up-potted the XJ 13 into a 1.5 gallon pot with my re-amended soil at day 42 of emerging from the soil.

So far so good! :weed:

Today I up-potted the Holy Grail and Platinum Bubba..... Both had minimal spin out at the bottom and a ton of root tips emerging from the sides!!!

The Platinum Bubba went into a 10 gallon smart pot with my re-amended soil and the Holy Grail went into a clothe shopping bag that holds about 6-7 gallons of the same soil. Now we are back to watching............. :weed:

I also dropped a Blue Magoo seed into a solo cup with some damp used soil to see if it will germinate. :bigjoint: :peace:

Today was mess with the fans'N shit day...

I changed up the way my lights are cooled. I pulled the ducts off of the lights and re-arranged things a bit. I am now pulling air from the garage through a register/filter and pushing it through the lights with my 440 cfm fan throttled down about 40% using a makeshift speed control (ya I know.. Put it in a box) . I installed my 240 cfm fan in the duct connected to the carbon filter. Both exit the room through the ceiling.
There is a 12"x12" register near the ceiling that uses the wall cavity as duct to one mounted on the opposite side of the wall (veg room) near the floor. It has a filter in it. In the veg room there is a 6"x16" register near the ceiling at the opposite side of the room from the flower room. It uses the wall cavity as a duct also and has a 8"x16" register/filter and pulls from the garage.

I ran the HPS lights for a few hours to see how the temps would be. Flower room started at 68.9 degrees and the veg room was at 71.1 degrees. After the wait the flower room was sitting at 82.8 degrees and the veg room was 72.1. My garage was 52 degrees. The humidity in the flower room was 35% and 46% in the veg room so I am cool with that.

I really did not like the brewer I made at the old house so I grabbed some junk laying around the garage and made a new one!

I used an old 5 gallon bucket and some pvc pipe I had from the green house. I also used some water fall hose for the riser.

I filled it up with water that was sitting for a few days. I sifted 1 cup of mushroom compost and 1 cup of EWC and poured it in. then I added 1 tsp of seaweed extract and 2 tbsp's of molasses. I didn't get a pic with clear water. It's like a tiny whirl pool all the way to the bottom.

Seems to do a good job of turning the mix!! I need a better air pump...

Looks like things are coming together over here...flowers in no time :bigjoint:

I am getting excited!!!! The two larger plants are almost to the size that I would normally have tossed them into the flower room. I will be waiting another 2-4 weeks before they go in!! I have a feeling I will wait too long and have a forest in there and won't be able to move around to check them for bugs and stuff. At least I only have two at the moment. Soon enough I will have my perpetual thing going again so I can rotate stock and have girls at all stages in there!! :weed: :hump:

I stumbled upon another gardening forum that is all about soil and how it works along with natural pest control. Super great bunch of people and absolutely zero drama. Also zero bad info like we see here and on other cannabis forums. It has a small number of members as it was started in July of this year I believe. Most of the members are experts on the subject and are considered scientist types.

My gosh there is a ton of reading to do!!!

Stuff like:
Regulation of soil organic matter dynamics and microbial activity
in the drilosphere and the role of interactions
with other edaphic functional domainss

Microbial diversity and soil functions

Root exudates as mediators of mineral acquisition in low-nutrient environments

Organic acids in the rhizosphere

And more!!!! All of this is in PDF format so I saved it. Very interesting stuff for sure.....

Yep!! Bugs that eat bugs!! Not something you can spray on a plant... There are probably a dozen or more insects that eat the insects we struggle with on our grows. I will grab some info and share it here within a day or so. (there is a lot of it)

I am digging all of the info about tea's over there! You would be amazed at what you really don't need in them. The saying is "less is more" !!! I need to pick up a tri-scope so I can see the rod's and long strand's.

Off to reading again!!!! :peace:

Oh yes, of course, predatory insects...
Would love to hear all about it...

I didn't get a chance to grab insect info but I did water my plants. I also did a bit of LST on the Holy Grail and Plattinum Bubba....

I see that I have some tip burn happening on both of those so extra water will be used and the runoff will be vacuumed out so it doesn't get re-absorbed.

Here is the Platt Bubba after getting tied down some...

IMG_0744.JPG

And the Holy Grail....

IMG_0745.JPG

The XJ 13 is still hanging in there... She is almost ready to give up her top for the cause!!! The two unknown strains are looking pretty good also with their short fat leaf's :weed: They are still under two inches tall....

IMG_0746.JPG

The Blue Magoo bean I dropped in the soil has popped up!!!! :hump: This is a seed from one of my plants that I sprayed with CS at the other house.

IMG_0749.JPG

I had it sitting on my heating block...

IMG_0751.JPG
IMG_0750.JPG

The clones are still hanging in there also... I still don't see roots and it's been 20 days... :wall: o_O They are starting to get pretty light!

IMG_0753.JPG

Everyone got watered with a tea/clear combo. I used the remaining tea to moisten my cooking soil and dumped the sludge in the flower bed where the Yucca plant's are.

I washed out the Microbe Multiplier and filled it up with fresh water that's been in my clear water rez. I mixed some molasses with some water then poured it in. Tomorrow I will sift some mushroom compost and drop it in along with some EWC. I am going to water some garden plant's that are residing in the laundry room for the winter with this batch.

IMG_0756.JPG

The weather man mentioned snow tonight. :cuss: Not ready for that... I need to change the oil in the snow blower and warm up the shovel :dunce:  $500 fine for not keeping the sidewalk clear :o Ahhhhh... City life!!!!!!

Time to stoke the fire's................:peace:

Well I see signs of nute burn on my Platinum Bubba.... I knew it was going to happen as my soil is a bit hot in the nitrogen department!!! That is why the leafs are so dark on most of my girls...

I over watered today with molasses. Everyone got extra water and the excess was removed with my trusty shop vac... Next few watering's will be clear water with runoff removed.

Today she is 10.25 inches at her highest point...

The Holy Grail is also showing some goofy stuff!! I have had other strains do this so I am not worried. She is dark green but not showing the signs the Platt is showing... Yet.... She is 15.5 inches at her highest point...

Well the smaller clones did not make it along with the XJ 13 clone...... :wall:

My wonderful memory or lack there of has struck again!!! :cuss: I swear I get out to the room daily... NOT!!!!

For those who don't know, I suffer from short term memory loss. It's bad enough that I lost my job over it and it combined with my degenerative disc disease got me a front row ticket to full retirement at 48 years old ( I will be 50 next month)

I use the Herb.IQ program for tracking what I do but still forget all about my plant's..

Anyways..... I decided to bust out the aero cloner I made earlier this year. It is a 48 gallon Ice chest that has been modified a bit!

I cut a lower branch off of the XJ 13 and cut it into two sections. The lower section is an experiment to see if it will root and give me two tops right off the bat!! :dunce:

Here you can see it up above my veg area next to the surveillance crap... I have 4 camera's. One looks at the driveway, another at the front walkway, another at the door coming into the garage and one that looks at your face when you stand outside the room. The timer I use for the water pump has been modified for a short on-off-on time.
