My 140w XB's run 225-233w each. Not seeing a 2.25 umol/j with my Eyechrometer. Just a very hot board with melting/broken wires at the junction.
Here is a TRUE reading at 12" on the XB-140.
So let me get this straight , it's supposed to be a 140 watt light that pulls 225+ watts ? If so , then would that not make the fixture only have around a 60% efficiency rating.

60 % efficiency levels are high & good. Try 40% if lucky IMO, then subtract another 30% for ineffective, insufficient spectrum.
Seriously tho, all she woukd need is to replace green with white & some of the red to have a decent spectrum.
I do have to thank her though. If not for her Amare Tech might not even be here. HydroGrow was the first light tested by Victor that motivated him to start the battle against Phony, Fugazi, False Claim Artists. Thank you Cammi!
Oh n sorry about the review, you asked me to be fully transparent & truthful.

Now that is what I wanted to hear! Thank you for the reply!

We had the R-spec in testing for over a year before release. From our testing, the yields were higher. Most noticed a bit more fox tailing in a good kinda way and slightly more color expression. The jump in efficacy was what we liked most. If I was on a budget 3k V1 288s would be my go too in honesty. We had one of our customers just win a cannabis cup in Ok with bud grown under the V2 3k spectrum. If I had v1 or v2 3k I wouldn't upgrade and I've told several customers who've called and asked the same. I would add the Uv supplement if I wanted to spend more money on lighting looking for an edge. 99% of growers would do better spending any future money on dialing in their environment.

That sounds familiar it's exactly what all the "trolls" said at the beginning of this mess

I believe at one point is pointed out people are getting up to 2 gpw with qb, so that means your light will give 8 gpw?

And she said "yes"

Lololol
Hahaha that's great based on her claim she should have only needed 1 of the lights hybrid had to match the hlg.....I really do feel bad for hybrid he got shit on for a few months and tried to defend hgl only to find out he was completely wrong now on top of admitting he was wrong he has a bunch of shitty bud and lost money and the free lights are pretty much worthless

I gotta give it to him tho. Hybrid tried to stay as unbiased throughout the whole deal tho. Even going so far as to "take up" for the lights. It alienated some people but...whatever.
I was elated to read his final findings. Face Palm on the sCammie lights.:spew:

edit* I didn't mean to quote Ryante. His post wasn't in my reply when I was typing it. Weird.

Now we got the results thanks to Hybrid but the question I have is about Scammie and Big Perm. Are they the same person? They are obviously in business somehow together now and probably in the past. Perm's timing seemed to be suspect to me. And Perm's side by side is definitely not 4x more yield on the HGL side.
Thoughts??

No matter what BS she says they only grow low thc fluffy bud.
Yes, its all my fault. Hail to the Newbie BigPerm. He'll show you all im full of it.
Just ask where his HGL 84x thread went & to see the fluffiest bud known to mankind. Lmao! Hysterics already!
S?he put you on full blast on her and Big perm's website. s?he never once mentioned the price difference of one x84 that could only cover a 2x2 vs HLGs light that Perm tested.

thanks for doing the test and taking a bunch of shit in the process.

a smoke report would be cool as a follow up.

Well, earlier on it truly seemed like you were on the HGL payroll with some things you were writing. I'm sure this plot twist has surprised
As I've said before to others. Show us an example??? Please...
Just grew n reported what i saw as well as any issues i had, my fault, doesn't matter, honest threw out was my only goal aside from these girls. I tried. That's all i can do.
Only Company i truly Rep is the one i like the best. Which Is also my primary lighting. Not a paid rep, just is what i highly recommend to others.
Doing these tests & comparisons is just a disorder i guess.
I had hopes for HGL for real. Then i saw it all coming together.
After seeing true colors & repeated actions i disagree with i now know there is NO hope.
Would rather not talk about it anymore.
I'll get some pics up then threads over.

Nah, I don't think so. He's been on here a long time BP and done other light tests and various other stuff.
I think he's just got carried away with sticking to "keeping an open mind" and got sucked in by a scam artist.
Only vid I saw of his about HGL v HLG he was biased though, talking about price of 550 comparing it to HGLs light but it was in a tiny space that the 550 wasn't made for, made the price seem more comparable but was very fishy comment, at the end he pointed out the 550 was designed for 4x4 or bigger, just seemed obviously misleading.

I just don't get it though, the prices for the old lights were crazy high for a light that should of been cheap and the rest of the marketing was traditional smoke and mirrors tactics.
NASA 4x yield...

That alone should of been enough to show everyone what that company was about even if everything else negative was lies.

This is how a con works though, draw people in and next thing they are representing and defending the same con and even going all in with all their chips.

I have 2 x HLG 550s and was the first to import them to my country. (which is as far away as a country gets from america or china or Europe .

I also have built many hand made 3590 Cree setups.

I have over 18 years plus experience growing under lighting. Im a qualified Horticulturalist and consultant as my main job, outside of cannabis, ive grown around 200 varieties to date.
Im a big believer in defoliation.

My experience is HPS grows very well, i still think its a Gold Standard to base performance against , Cree 3590 ...builds have been a little bit better than my HLG 550. But the HLG 550 produces amazing results, and you dont have to build it yourself. interesting in testing it does better in a 90cm x 90cm tent than a 120cm x 120cm tent, as in the smaller tent out produces the bigger tent. more light reflection from the walls of the tent i guess.

My Quality and yield in all, is Very good. well ive been happy with every lighting system ive tried.

If you have a ample wattage you can probably do quality and quantity if you do other things right.

i never had any luck with those solely blue and red leds...

what a nightmare, i believe you need a full spectrum light, like white light or hps.

I suggest beginners just to use basic potting mix for a few years first. dont get into hydroponics too fast.

My biggest issue is meanwell drivers, they are not as reliable as ballasts, especially if mounted on a light fixture, but even when they are not, my stats have been 2 out of every 6 fail within 3 years.

Ive never had a hps fail yet, but your experience maybe different.

Ive never Achieved the crazy high Yields sometimes stated on this forum, at most 13 oz from a 90cm x 90cm space, but i dont veg past 3 week, usually less, and i only use fem seeds.

Just a open thread for any conversation and experiences

https://www.rollitup.org/t/hlg-550-v1.997049/ started a post there but maybe should have done it here

Also with my HLG 550s i run them very close to the top of the Plants , like 40cm above some times closer, way closer than recommended, am i doing it wrong and why, ive never had yellowing or burning, unless the leaf is wet of course. my plants never finish above 45 cm- 50 cm. 2-3 weeks veg from fem seedling.
