the feds are backed off, from what i understand. the directive to crack down on these shops was issued by district attorneys right here in the good ol' state of oregon.

technically, ommp affords you vast amounts of protection from cannabis prosecution, but they may wish to make an example of these guys and make up some high-falutin charges against them. time will tell.

Honestly, I do not even think most folks will get that far, because the paperwork included LANDLORDS as possible defendants......the landlords will just kick them out, and the clubs have no legal recourse, because, technically, what they were doing was illegal. So overall, the landlords just got the piss scared out of them, and they (commercial property owners) have a lot more to lose than the average person or dispensary owner. The landlords will cover their ass, and kick them out, and the law will have very little to do with it. Sending the letter probably saved taxpayers money, because the police will not have to kick in doors. The owners will just leave, because they have no legal recourse to stop it.

Again, for anyone just jumping in....I am all for dispensaries, we just have to do it the right way, and make a positive statement when we get the chance.

4 months ago i waz going to open up my own club but after reading and checking and rereading the law and reading between the lines. there was no fucking way i was going to go against what is not legal. why in the hell would i want to jeprodize my script and others by proticapating in the ilegal sales of marijuana...if every card holder stuck to the law just imagine where we would be 2day..a hell of a lot futher then we are now..

obama has altready stated this awhile back.. the feds here arn't doing this its the state of oregon.

I had to go to Wake N Bake today because my so called grower if fucking me, and asked them if they were worried about what is happening to the other clubs. He stated "not at all". I asked why he replied because we do not make a profit like the other clubs do. Nobody there gets paid it is all volunteer, and charge half of what the other clubs do. It kind of made sense in a way as it is true. However I don't know if this will save them. I sure hope it does as they serve a need, and a purpose.

Mygirls, you are DEAD WRONG on this......IT IS ILLEGAL FOR YOU TO BUY MARIJUANA FROM THE BLACK MARKET. You can grow it yourself, or have someone else grow it for you, but you cannot buy weed from a street dealer and be free and clear. Just like purchasing stolen property is against the law, so is buying weed from someone that grows it illegally. You are contributing to them continuing to break the law, in the law's mind.

Don't get me wrong, I think it should all be legal, but you buying from a street dealer is just as illegal as usual. You may not get busted for possession, but you would get busted for something if they wanted to.

And I will defend Uncle Buck here, he knows WAYYYY more about this shit than you do, and has shown that around every corner. You obviously pissed him off, because he wished that you would get hauled away for 5 years, and I know he does not want smokers getting busted.
