For all who were silent when Bush passed the first Patriot Act and then Obama renewed it....welcome to the Brave New World.

truly scary stuff on many, many levels.
With all due respect. I disagree. Just for context, I am sixty years old so I have seen a lot of changes in the world. When we were tokin up out in the hills overlooking the city when I was 17 or 18 we talked about if MJ would EVER be legal. I am now a card carrying Medical patient and every time I pass a cop while rollin dirty I smile knowing that I AM LEGAL. The Feds ask two things of you. Don't grow over 99 plants and don't sell over state lines. I can live with that. Not saying ANYTHING bad about FDD. I have very much been temted to sell across state lines myself because of the profit which is HUUUUGE when it works but if I ever do that I will do it knowing the risks. All I am saying is that from my view we have come a long long way and unless you get greedy for the most part it is all good. We still have a ways to go, that's true but current Federal laws are in my opinion and at face value generous to say the least. I like this Country and I don't think that this incident is going to shake my faith in America.
Having said all that I will say that I am a greedy person by nature myself and the only thing that has kept me from being in the same tight spot is fear and common sense and so I feel for FDD'S family and wish them well as I do for FDD himself but I am not ready to hyperventilate and call this a "POLICE STATE" or blame the feds. sure there is room to improve but I don't need freedom to sell interstate to feel all warm and fuzzy about my country..

FTC is a transfer facility right near Oklahoma City. My friend was there not too long back. Basically it is an airport, within a prison. Look it up....

FTC = Federal Transfer Center.

I tried to bail my friend out of there. Well, to my learning, there is not much going on at the Transfer Center, besides, well, waiting, and transferring.

Fed inmates will visit many fed detention centers within US territory before either getting released, or finding their "home" for the next whenever.....

Yep I just Google earthed the addy and the airport is in the backyard of the Penn .. Fucking aye .. Makes me think "" Con Air "" ..

It's an airport, within a prison, in Donkey Fuck, Arkansas, Oklahomo, in the middle of nowhere.

I called about visiting my buddy there in 2007. I got a laugh and a "is there anything else we can help you with today?"

Talk about no mans land.....

Word for word. That is exactly how it is.

My friend went from the border at McAllan, Tx, to Galveston, to Houston, to FTC in Oklahomo where FDD was or is, to Terre Haute, Indiana, to MCC in Chicago, only to be released from a Wisconsin jail 2 days later.

KOKC is the main airport for Oklahoma City, OK. I have flown in there many times, and it's huge... with aircraft arriving from all points international.

The FTC takes up a small portion on the west side of the field and the actual airport is located only a few miles from downtown Oklahoma City.

In this picture, you can see the federal ramp just at the bottom left corner, it is cut off from view on the photo unfortunately, what is visible is a big terminal for airlines:

I've been there. I tried to see my friend. There is a better street view on google maps.

Seems like from what staff at the prison says, inmates are in and out of there in a week or two, flown right out of there to their next either "layover" or "final rest stop".

Pun intended.

Yep it's a very convenient location in the US, right smack in the middle of the country... a jump off point for many a prisoner to places close, and afar.

Hoping the best for FDD but this doesn't look good at all...

I don't mean to be negative, but things do not sound the best for Mr. Fdd.

Fed weed charges are like a 5 year minimum, 85% which is done inside before released..... I guess depends on quantity, but you can believe if the feds pinched you, it wasn't exactly small.

Maybe if it can be done responsibly, it can get lonely in prison, getting mail is nice. Maybe one of the people that knows FDD can forward some "cool" non-incriminating letters to him from some of his online friends here. I think he'd like that.

State Pen or Federal Prison?? I'd rather go to Fed. Prison
They have thicker mattresses and better food!

When I was a union member they had a benefit of an attorney being provided for free regardless of the nature of the incident ( in our contract ) . Probably due to organized !#$%^*^& activity within the union . The lawyers they used were not cheap or bad either . They used the best mob lawyers around . I sure wish we had that here now , for all of us who need that kind of help .

I'm a p.o.w. of the fed system from many years ago (for trying to buy a bale) and what they are doing is called diesel therapy, where they keep bouncing a person around to keep him from a judge and his lawyer. He needs a well seasoned federal defense lawyer to stop the bs.
prayers and donations are needed.

:peace:

This thread should be stickeyd in the Newbie section for all the would be "stars" of Breaking Bad.
talk about being F......t. Doesn't sound like money is going to solve this one except for Mrs. Fdd
Anyone know how old the boy is, looks like he's going to be growing up real quick. Man of the house for a while.
Geez what a predicament. Five years doesn't sound that bad compared to life....WHAT?
