Set up a temporary veg area for the girls while I wait for the flowing. Next attempt will be flood and drain. Have it set up to flood for 3 mins every 3 hours while lights on, then nothing during lights off.

27g tote on the bottom with 10g of water (tap) with 10ml General Hydro G-M-B PH 5.7

Lighting is not ideal, 90W LED with a couple 23W CFL, but really just looking to keep them alive until they can go into the tent.

Really starting to get their smell on now with that classic earthy indica funk. Was reaching in there to tie some of the taller ones that are way to close to the light around and now I think I need to take a shower and through all my clothes in the wash before I go out in public.

So glad I got the cuttings, next round I need to flip way shorter and keep the MH on them longer to try to keep them from growing through the roof. As it stands, I may need to cut the screen out so I can drop the buckets to the floor to give me more room. I HOPE I don't need to since I am 4 weeks from flip, but I don't like the cool tube being 6" from my tops, and not sure how much light the sides of my tent are getting.

Add 5G of RO with nutes. Added in an aquarium heater because rez temps have been dropping just below 60F, it seems to throw my PH readings way off, I think from the little red light on the heater, when I take a reading with the heater in, my ph reads 11+, when I take it out it returns to normal.

This one got a bit too close to the light awhile ago:

It seems like every grow I try to throw a little challenge my way by screwing around to much. I was messing with my screen last night and cracked one of the larger stems near the base. I checked this morning and everything looks ok, hate that I do something stupid like that with them 6 weeks in to flower.

I put the 400W MH in my veg tent, I will be doing some heavy defoliation on that run since I have not tried to run 6 plants in my little 2x4 before.

M- 50ml
B- 150ml
F+- 10ml
C/M- 5ml
PPM - 440
PH- 5.4

Took aver an hour, containers drain a lot slower, I think the return drains are a little blocked by the roots. I cannot move the containers or check the roots because of the screen.. kind of a pain in the ass. I may end up cutting out the screen since it is not really doing much good, I can cut out the existing lines and put a few new lines with the screen up much higher to give support.

I also flipped the lights to 12/12 for the cuttings, if I let them go much longer, they will be to big.

Roots blocked the bottom drain hole, I had some weed blocker screen on the bottom covering the drain, but the roots just got so thick and heavy in the bottom that the draining was slowed to a trickle.

Thankfully I just happened to be in the room checking it when it finally hit the tipping point and I caught it right as it was starting to flood out of the top. I also had airstones in the buckets just in case the water didn't drain fast enough, so the roots still got plenty of oxygen (was acting like a DWC). I had to cut out the screen so I could get to the roots and by repositioning them I got some temporary relief. I will put something down on the bottom to keep the roots from blocking the drain during the last couple of weeks. By removing the screen however, the stems are not strong enough to hold the buds up and everything pretty much collapsed over to the side. After I put something more permanent into the bucket to prevent the drain from being blocked, I will restring the screen partially to get some more support.

They buckets had a 2.5" thick "disc" of nearly solid roots on the bottom that caused them to nearly completely block the drain. I lifted the root disc up and put a small 3" net pot in front of the drain and lift the disk up. hopefully this gets me through the next 1.5 weeks and doesn't cause to much stress by messing with the roots.

I also went in and re-tied up a lot of the stems so they are not laying over on the side of the tent. The up side is that it is now allowing more light to get to the lower bud sites :)

Thanks, yeah it's getting close so I should be fine. Will need to make some design changes if I run these buckets again.
