HBBum Going Hydro - F*cking Incredible OG

While fixing my root overgrowth problem(?) I managed to break a small branch with some bud on it. Since it never recovered and was just hanging there I just chopped it off. Trimmed it up and it is hanging in the dark for a few days. Will be harvesting the rest next week(about 80% of the trichs are cloudy).

Sample was pretty good. Still pretty green but has that super strong funky indica taste.

Tonight is harvest time for the rest and will be able to move the others into the tall tent with the 600 now. Photos to come shortly.

So.. had my work cut out for me.. definitely not my favorite part.

Took almost 2 hours to get flood and drain table moved into the tall tent and get them chopped and hung in the shorter tent for drying. Didn't get them all trimmed the first night which made the second day of trimming even more "fun"

One of the moving everything around was a chore:

Here is a pic when mostly done.

I did a lot more grooming on the next batch, hopefully fewer branches, but bigger buds.

I have no idea what the harvest number will end up at, but it is more than enough to last me quite some time.

Awesome - I've been enjoying watching this. As a first time hydro soil convert myself, I have finally started my buckets and have been amazed at how fast things are moving.

Can't wait to hear your dry weight!

Not sure if I am a convert yet or not. It was fun putting together the system, but it is a lot of work too. The rez changes and water monitoring may prove impossible when I get back to having to travel for work more.

Dry is very slow this time of year, sits in a dark tent at about 50F and 50-60% RH and they still have maybe 2-4 days before ready for final trim and jarring.

I spent a lot of time building mine to make changing the rez easy, so I have a separate sump and fill system and a chiller. I think I remembered you said you were hauling ice and water, that would get old quick! I'm looking to do an ebb/flow for my veg - how is yours going? I would imagine you would have the same hauling ice and water work to do. I've saw you had a link to it once but can't seem to find it.

I did too, my rez was external and right next to the door so I could just tip it over and refill it. Still takes a lot more time investment than soil since I was getting distilled water for hydro, tap for soil.

I never did the ice thing, I was actually using an aquarium heater. My ebb and flow has the rez in the tent right now, I have not had the time to run the rez external since I needed to finish trimming and jarring. Got it done last night, not overly happy with the results. I ended up with about 6zips of bud and about 6 zips of popcorn/trim for hash and edibles.

I kept the MH in much longer for the next run to try to keep them shorter, will see if that helps reduce the amount of popcorn bud.

Final weight ended up being 7.75 ounces, I made a mis calculation on my first weigh in.

Oddly, I ended up with a few seeds in this batch, but the potency is still way up there. Super couch lock on this strain, a couple times I turned off the TV at night and just didn't have it in me to make it to bed.

Second batch is coming along nicely. Keeping the MH for the first couple weeks really helped keep them shorter. They are 51 days in and could probably be harvested in the next 7-10 days, but I will probably keep them in until the end of Feb for a nice even 10 weeks.
