Harry Reid Bitch Slap Part 2

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), the highest-ranking Mormon in Congress, told reporters this week that he agreed with a blogger who accused GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney of having "sullied" Mormonism and misrepresenting the faith with comments made in a recently released hidden camera video.

Footage of Romney speaking at a high-priced fundraiser earlier this year was released last week, sending reverberations across the presidential race and other congressional races. In the most controversial clip, Romney is heard telling wealthy donors that "47 percent" of people who support President Barack Obama are "dependent on government," and that it isn't his job to worry about those Americans.

In a blog for the Huffington Post, Gregory A. Prince, a Mormon author and former Romney supporter, wrote that the presidential candidate had damaged the religion with his remarks.

"His arrogant and out-of-hand dismissal of half the population of this country struck me at a visceral level, for it sullied the religion that he and I share -- the religion for which five generations of my ancestry have lived and sacrificed, the religion whose official mantra is 'to take care of the poor and needy throughout the world,'" Prince wrote. "My first impulse was to rent an airplane towing a banner: 'Mitt Romney is Not the Face of Mormonism!'"

In a conference call with reporters ahead of Romney's visit to the Utah later this week, the Salt Lake Tribune reports that Reid expressed agreement with Prince's missive.

"He said that Romney has sullied the religion that he, Prince and Romney share," Reid said. "And he’s so disappointed that in his words, ‘It’s a good religion and he’s hiding from it.’"

"I agree with him," Reid continued. "[Romney's] coming to a state where there are a lot of members of the LDS Church ... They understand that he is not the face of Mormonism."
I told you he would piss off the faithful. It's the buzz all over Mormondom. He is losing support from people of his own faith and that's kind of hard to do with Mormons. We're all about linking arms and standing firm against the slings and arrows of our adversaries. Not this time. Romney's reach exceeded his grasp. He managed to piss off 6.3 million people (give or take a hundred thousand or two).

No more green jello for you Brother Romney.

I smell fear and desperation from the left...

And BTW... King Harry (thou shalt not bear false witness against your neighbor) Reid has some explaining to do to the church himself..

right, because obama is the one who is nearly double digits behind in every swing state with only 6 weeks to go

too facile.
#1. If you look at that polling you will find over sampling of Democrats into the double digits as well...

#2. If Obama was killing it as much as portrayed in Ohio, why is he spending so much time and energy in that state right now?

Too much of a lemming...

pollsters compensate for all of these variables, are you simple?

how does it feel to be 8 points behind in ohio?

how does it feel to be behind in north carolina? i mean, i was giving you guys that one. but it is very much in play.

jesus fuck this could get boring.

That's the smell of your own ass blowing back in your face.
You are being lied to.

The funny thing is that the pollsters very well might make the Democrats feel like they dont have to get out to vote since it will be such a landslide... That will be funny the day after the election...

nate silver at 538 was actually the best.

it is stupid to rely on just one poll. you should analyze all the polls as well as every other dynamic possible.

but i forgot that you are simple.

wanna lay a wager on that?

you are trying to deny reality because it makes you feel bad, mon.

it's sad and hilarious to watch.
Reality is reality... You are arguing polls and opinions. I am simply pointing out that most of the polls are basing their outomes on the percentages from the 2008 election.

How can you tell me that the pollsters take everything into account and in almost the same post tell me I cant rely on any single pollster?? Either they are correct or they are just guessing and you seem to be saying they are doing both.

Yeah, keep flapping your gums while the polls continue to rise in O'Bama's favor.

again, they account for those variables. do you know anything about statistics? or do you just swallow whatever dick morris tells you and then regurgitate here?

how do you suppose you guys win without ohio? you can't even lay resources into NC, which is vacillating now.

obama is chasing you guys all over the map. wisconsin is no longer in play. you're 5 points down in virginia. you're 40+ points behind with hispanics and 20 points down with women. how the hell you gonna change that in 6 weeks?

your desperation is music to my ears.

I have two things to look forward to and gloat over when the elections end. Ron Paul retiring and O'Bama getting his second term. :p

I am saying the polls are wrong and the true numbers are much closer or actually in Romney's favor.

Again, if Obama was actually 10 points ahead in Ohio that he is campaigning there right now? Wouldnt he have better things to do with his time and money?

I am not desparate about anything.. the polls will be right or wrong...

There's nothing wrong with bolstering up your gains. Being the intelligent man that he is, he is going to secure Ohio before moving on. It's called strategy.

I am not desparate about anything.. the polls will be right or wrong...

The word is desperate and yes you are. I love how the polls are right when it's going in your favor but they're wrong if the scary-black-man-who-is-going-to-take-all-your-stuff is winning.
Flail, flounder and quibble. That's all you folks have left.
