Damn Head that really sucks. I was hoping you would have females out of those two but we still have hope for the stinky one. Well since you have had males out of half the pack already the rest should be female. It's really making me worry about my pack and this is one reason why I always chose fem seeds but that's why imma 12/12 from seed so I can weed out them immediately

Maybe I got all the males from your pack, you're welcome :)

I got all males out of a pack of Tahoe OG. The next pack had only two. That sucked ass.
Yea I've heard of it happening from time to time. That's the risk we take when growing reg seeds. Funny how the next pack had more females than males. But I know that sucked bro I would've been sad more than mad

Welp, I got two females after all. it's weird though half way down the plant looks like male parts on both of them, that's what I was judging by. But w/e they are popping pistils so I'll let em keep growing. some of the calyx's being thrown out are really weird shapes. They almost look like another stipule coming right out of the node. Long and skinny not tear dropped at all. I'll try and grab a picture tonight if I remember, I'll have to get out the good camera as there's only 1 of these and it's still really small. The rest of the "weird' looking preflowers look like balls on a stalk, but apparently the tear drops are just backwards lol.

Now for the stinky one, I'm going to clone it, if it tastes anything like it smells it will be in my garden for a while (years). Pure dank smell coming off this girl, wasn't going to be disappointed with that one either way, if it was male it would have been collected and hit everything in my room.

Seems these ones like to trick me, thought the males were female and the females were males. I'm usually pretty good at sexing early :) Oh well. This is why I wait to make sure every time, heard of way better growers then I getting confused by preflowers.

Going to build my bubble cloner today I think and get some clones off HER <--- that's nice to type :)

Yeah I pointed this out to somebody else recently. A lot of the time what looks like balls ends up being a female primordial flower that opens into a leaf. You want to cut them off btw they suck energy like a whole branch does. Balls are round, these little things are teardrop with a tuft at the tip. It is very common. Never chop till you see the flowers start to open if you suspect a male... Had them on my last 12 runs. Flaming Pie found a good write up on them in a book on cannabis botany.

I have one Talisman female that grew nodes from the pre-flower position.

Great eyes noticing that odd growth this early, I'd wait until there is a fully formed ball before making any decisions.

Have you popped the entire pack?

Popped 6 so far. 3 were males one was a runt the first go, so I popped 2 more. I'm about to head in and give em a scope down again and see if anything is coming in behind the growth yet.

Think I got 4-5 left.

I'd like to see two strains grafted together with this technique......

keep nu added variety still attached to its own root system until it takes to host cannabis plant.

I've done air-layering w ficus trees, works likes a charm. just haven't made time to experiment with mary jane as yet.
I think there is a thread somewhere like that with multiple strains on one mom but I will be damned if I can find it now.

@Mr.Head I plucked a few strange calyx off the G.puff not because I was even sure it was a male bit but just because it did give me a few strange looking calyx. Positive note once chopped there was not a male bit to be found. Only reason i say this is maybe it was the stomper genetics or chem in general creating odd calyx here and there.

I think I have fucking thrips. Only on the stompers though, which seems really wierd because all my other plants are right beside them, but there are a tonne of little bugs crawling around on top of my soil. and noticed a couple at the nodes this morning.

No idea how this happened and I missed it, but now it's scramble mode, I think my TER might have them too, as it's showing some leaf damage. I've been inspecting these plants daily these shits come on fast my goodness. Going to get some insectical soap some pyrethin and some neem oil and go to war, some sticky traps too for good measure this is my first bug problem in like 2-3 years.

OUCH! sorry to hear that but if I had to pick a pest to deal with thrips is better then most. I just ordered a bunch of sns and ogbiowar to get serious on preventative maintenance.

this is 100% my fault. I haven't been keeping a clean environment I just found 2 root balls dried out behind my soil bin.

Super pissed at myself. But that's good to hear that they are controllable :) It's still pretty early in flower for my other plants and they aren't flying around too much so I think I should be ok, the issue is I have to order a lot of this stuff hope I can get some fast shipping for a reasonable price.
