Could keep em under a weaker light to reduce the veg growth maybe? I've been keepin' a little SBA in a 5 gallon pot n taking cuts off it, but even under a cheap LED unit this thing is growing a little too fast n i've had to prune away quite a few branches that could have been nice cuttings, but don't have the room for more atm...thinking maybe a T5 would be better
Best results I have gotten keeping them small is cloning and not taking the clone out solos for like six to eight weeks, then a one gal pot. Get these insanely bushy little shrubs and the clones off them work great for a while but they regress in every regard, potency, yield, vigor etc, within four months. Keeping the mum small AND happy is the ticket and those seem to be opposing paradigms hard to consolidate.

So that just leaves the one option of constant pruning both in root mass n foliage eh? Seems like a whole lot of work, but probably worth it if you wanna keep a wide variety of genetics around with limited space.

Yup it is going to add to the schedule that is certain. But I am going to enjoy having everything backed up. ,ate of mine just lost our backup mums. Not all but the rest are stressed beyond belief so I won't accept cuts back. Sucks.

even tho somewhat stressed, keepin plants rootbound in 24/0 will keep small w little effort. problem is, not all fully recover from this method.
