Had to look to see if that was fluke, its not.

Houghton gets avg of 240 inches a year...the only places I found that were not ridiculous were a place callled escanaba. And iron mountain...they were in the 50 inch range..which is still a ton.

Yea houghton is not the place for avoiding a u.p. winter haha. Seems like they got more than us which seems impossible around here. I used to live in Cali and the five years I was there where I lived we got over 550 inches. 2 of the 5 years we got over 600 inches of snow. Our dogs had to step up off the 2nd floor porch to get on the snow. Good old mammoth lakes, ca

Do any of you guys fish the walleye run in the maumee river or on the reefs by maumee bay? I'm heading to my folks house by Toledo the first week of April to hit that up. Yes it's in Ohio but maybe we can have a secret meeting down there haha.

Met glad at the walleye lodge sat evening for a little fishing and medicating. Been rough few days so I needed a break. Didn't catch much other than a buzz haha. No flags all night and a baby walleye came up when I was pulling tip ups to head in. Smoked a few sour kush doobies courtesy of glad and a few dh og bowls on me. A homeless honeycomb joint 5 min before I headed to work almost did me in haha. Hope everything works out buddy. Thanks for da beans eh.

Funny story about the 6lb catfish in my last post...............
I had just got there,it was early,i tied on a chrome rat-l-trap and laid my rod down with about a foot of line out.I knelt down with my back to the rod, trying to light a bowl and take a couple hits before I started fishing........you guessed it:) before I took a toke, the rod went completely in the water.I could barely see the rod butt,so i stepped in waist deep, grabbed the rod and it was a nice 3-3.5lb bass.Well I was excited and still wanted to smoke.Funny shit!I laid my rod back down and put my tackle bag on top of it,knelt down again, turned my back to block the wind.I got to take a couple hits, calmed down:lol...Bang!the catfish took the dangling rat-l-trap!Unbelievable!Well that was my true "fish" story.

I HAVE MORE STORIES AND PICS......DO ANY OF YOU GUYS HAVE ANY FISH STORIES OR MORE PICS TO SHARE!!!!peace

mammoth. Anyone out there on the ice?
I really want a 2 pound April ice perch. That would be crazy as fuck.
I called Guz last week in the middle of the blizzard and he said no one is able to get around out there and
call him in a few weeks. ?! few weeks. I wanted to call him earlier today and got caught up. He said that on 18th or 19th.

I haven't been out since that night we went out. I heard the travel has been terrible with the snow melt/freeze. I guess a lot of guys are waiting for a big rain to melt most of the snow. I heard everyone is getting stuck even with sleds. I'm so ready for open water, I fished the hundred yards the river was open yesterday. Walleye fishing in Ohio next week so hopefully it's 60 degrees when I get back, I am itching so hard to get on the big lake.

I want to hit it on the ice once more next week.
That sounds like a prescription to fuck my back all up again though.
Remember to troll for a deathstar clone while you are fishing in Ohio. lmao.
Good luck buddy and stay safe.

...and I'll call Gus @ Mapleridge right now.
