Week 5, Day 1

:weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed::weed:

Here's the latest pics...gave them some straight water today - looked like they'd had enough nutes to skip a feeding...

Pics #1 - 6 Bubblicious :leaf:

#1,2 - Alice, side & top
#3,4 - Barb, side & top
#5,6 - Candy, side & top

Pics #7 - 10 Dreamtime :leaf:

#7,8 - Doris, side & top
#9,10 - Deb, side & top

Pic #11,12 - Beth, side & top

Pic #13,14 - Preflowers?? - You tell me.

:joint::joint::joint::joint::joint::joint::joint::joint::joint::joint::joint::joint::joint::joint:

Well, I did some pruning tonight - removed some yellowing leaves that were not going to make it. I also trimmed the fan leaves on Candy that had the spots shown in my last update - they'd went from light green to brown, so they got the axe.

Please take a close look at pics # 13 and 14 and tell me if these are preflowers starting to develop... I know it's most likely too early to determine sex, but as I near the switch to flowering, I have my eyes peeled for preflowers as they are all now in the 10-11" stage... :leaf:

Hey Dayzt. I would say its too early to tell yet... I cant tell if thast a preflower or if its a new branch coming out. Plants are looking nice though.

Thanks for the comments guys... =) I'm giving them all the same treatment yet, not totally convinced those are 'male' preflowers but i'm preparing for the worst - all of my Bubblicious may be males...boo! The other 3 aren't showing either yet, so I'm hoping the feminized Blue Cheese and at least one of the Dreamtime are female.... please cross your fingers for me!! :leaf:

Wow, very nice... Are you sure this your first grow? You seem to have everything under control my friend.
I think its still a little early to determine sex on those plants, especially since you havent even started flowering yet. I sure hope your bubblicious arent all males
An awesome line of strains by the way. This will be a great journal to follow. +rep man.

Transplanted all 6 into 3 gallon pots this evening (wow, what a task!) - I'm guessing i'll be switching to 12/12 in the next week or so, so I wanted them to get used to the big pots before that time.

Still no signs of preflowers on Beth, and the 2 Dreamtime plants (Doris & Deb) don't appear to be showing me much - what I can see doesn't look like either yet...

For those of you out there thinking about doing a bathroom 'tub' grow like mine - one major thing to note is the space available in the tub once you've made the final transplant into the large pots... if I didn't use the soft pots, I don't think they would have all fit in there!

I'll take some pics this week sometime and post them - too tired to take picture anymore tonight...lol...

Cheerz all, and thanks for following my grow!! Thanks bigtomatofarmer for you words of encouragement! I did tons of research on here before starting, so everything you see here is from knowledge I gleaned from RIU and other places on the internet. =) I think i'm going to go with all feminized seeds next time, since I don't seem to have a problem avoiding plant stress the chances of hermies would be quite low I think...

You are doing a great job Dayzt, and yeah going with fem seeds is a good idea, you save yourself the extra hassle plus having to constantly worry how many females you are going to be getting.

Well, so far all of the kids are appearing to appreciate thier new homes... I haven't noticed any change in growth (xplant shock), but we'll see what happens down the line once the roots start to move more into the new soil. They didn't look extremely root-bound when I moved them into the 3-gal pots, but I did see that the roots were starting to move around the perimeter of the pot's bottom....

Note: This transplant, I added about 1/5th bat guano to the soil mix (as I mentioned I'd planned on doing earlier in this journal). We'll see if that makes a difference...well, I guess I can't really compare the results to anything since I gave them ALL the same mix..lol... oh well - it was recommended as a good organic fert to add to the mix.

Pics are coming this evening I hope... I already snapped them last night, just need to post them up! :leaf:

- May 8th at 8pm, the lights came on after having 36hrs dark.... replaced the 400w MH bulb with my new HPS 360W conversion bulb! Yay!

This evening (9th)...
- Gave the kids their first feeding today since going 12/12 - a little under 1/3 strength nutes in ph'd down water (aprox 6.5 pH). I didn't water them a huge amount, as my 1.5 gallon jug isn't quite enough for all 6 plants, but that way i can water them with nutes today and most likely again tomorrow with some regular pH'd water so it's watered through better. Then 4-5 days without food...
- Had to raise the light a few inches today, as the avg plant height at this point is 13-14"
- Looking forward to seeing some flowers to show some definite sex signs.... still quite vague yet at this point. I hope to see some signs by the end of this coming week or the next... :hump:

:leaf: Please pray to the weed gods to send me some girlz!! :leaf:

Yep - their really startin to stretch-out now! I have to move the light up almost every day since going 12/12... A few of them I'm starting to change my mind on already... looks like one of the Bubblicious at least is going to be female, but then again maybe it's hermie.... tick, tock, tick, tock.... we shall soon know! =)

Yeah - I probably should invest in a scope so I can get the bigger picture....right now i'm just eye-balling it...lol. Ah well, it's not like I won't see a male plant before it pollinates...
