So we're officially in a recession but Stephen refuses to accept that saying there's growth in all the other sectors...
Well to be fair, we have no control of the world price of oil. So let's just say fuck Harper, fuck Saudi, fuck opec.

So far the only answer is none of the above. So pick which candidates policies u like most outside of mmj. And it's time people stopped waiting for the go ahead that's never going to come. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission

Seriously don't see how anyone can go to jail under the NDP's decrim agenda for growing for themselves. He said he would decrim all forms of personal use. That means growing for personal use at least to me.

Maybe I'm interpreting it how I want to, but there's no way to get cannabis without buying it illegally other then growing it yourself.

Could this be our WHATFG? A woman in Whitehorse defacing CON election signs...hmmm lol

Ryan Leef handcuffs, puts vandal under citizen arrest
A Whitehorse woman says she was apprehended by Yukon MP candidate late at night by a roadside, where she was defacing his campaign signs.

- RELATED: Whitehorse vandals damage Ryan Leef's campaign signs

Carrie Boles says she had destroyed about half a dozen election signs of Conservative candidate Ryan Leef when the politician, dressed in camouflage, came out of the trees with another man dressed in black. Boles believes the second man was Darren Parsons, Leef's campaign manager, but she didn't recognize the men right away.

"I didn't realize at first, what was going on."

Boles says one of the men twisted her arm behind her back and told her she was under a citizen's arrest. She says she was handcuffed and the men called the RCMP.

"I recognized Mr. Leef's voice and I was like, 'what are you doing sir, out here at 11 o'clock at night in the pouring rain, protecting your campaign signs?'"

Boles admits it was the second time she had defaced Leef's campaign signs. The police let Boles go with a warning, but she wonders why Leef was sitting in the dark with handcuffs and a motion sensor.

She says the experience was terrifying and she regrets her actions. She says she didn't realize that destroying election signs was a crime. As for why she did it, Boles says she was "having one of those days. There was really not a lot of thought put into it."

"I saw all these signs on the road and I thought you know what, 'they're gaudy, they look awful and I've just had enough.'" Boles said.

Leef's office has not returned calls, however John Thompson, the editor of the Yukon News, says Leef's office has confirmed the facts Boles wrote in a letter to the paper, which was published on Wednesday. In the letter, Boles describes the events from her perspective.

"For those wondering, we did contact Ryan Leef's office and confirmed events described [Boles' letter] are true," Thompson tweeted.

I guess JT is being asked questions about the evil weed....

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is ready to move on legalizing marijuana, but says he's not comfortable with it being sold at local corner stores.

"My focus is on making it more difficult for young people to access it, and at this point I don't think that corner stores necessarily are rigorous enough in checking ID to make me comfortable with that as an option," Trudeau told reporters in Quebec City on Wednesday.

"But we are looking at ways to do it right."

Earlier in the day Trudeau said during an interview with radio station FM93 Quebec that pot wouldn't "necessarily" have to be sold through a state-run monopoly.

Trudeau said legalization would make it tougher for minors to buy pot and would also keep the profits away from organized crime.

The Liberal leader insists that any plans for the sale and distribution of marijuana would have to involve the provinces, but he said that, if elected, a Liberal government could start taking action right away.

"That's something we look forward to taking up, but from the federal side of it, moving it to a place where it is controlled and regulated is something we will start doing immediately."

The Liberal campaign said it could not elaborate on precisely what actions would be taken initially.

Not Trudeau's focus

Trudeau fielded more than half a dozen questions from reporters about his pot policy Wednesday, but clearly doesn't want it to be a focal point during the election.

He suggested the Liberals don't have plans to roll out any marijuana-related policy during the campaign.

"We will continue to answer questions on this, but the policies we're putting forward are really focused on how we're going to grow the economy and give the kind of future to Canadians that they deserve."

MONTREAL — The CBC is reporting today on a growing social media trend for Canadians to use Prime Minister Harper’s name as a cuss word.

“Harper is being used as the new F Bomb,” CBC analyst Claude Perrault told news anchor Peter Mansbridge this morning.

“‘Harper off’ is a big one we’re seeing used alot on Facebook and Twitter. Often in all caps when someone’s really angry…as in ‘HARPER OFF!'”

“Calling someone a ‘Harpering Harper’ to mean either ‘f****** b****’ or ‘f****** c***sucker’ is also trending big for new slang.”

“Sorry.”

In a social media word search conducted by CBC, the national broadcaster found ‘Harper’ being used as a verb in more than 12% of angry social media messages posted in Canada. (“Man, I just about Harpered my pants.”)

Adjective and noun usages were slightly lower at a 10% and 9% respectively. (“What a Harpering Harper hole.”)

“The Harper-slang trend goes beyond nouns, verbs and adjectives though,” said Perrault.

“The Prime Minister’s name is also being widely used to mean anything sneaky or uncaring or just plain disgusting. Sorry.”

“I Harpered on my income taxes. hahaha.”
“He Harpered that last hole on his golf score card for sure.”
“That punk just hawked a Harper.”
“If a bear Harpers in the woods.”
“Mange ma Harper.” (“Suck my Harper”)

Prime Minister Harper’s spokesman Jason MacDonald reacted angrily to CBC questions about the growing Harper-slang trend.

“That’s f***ing bull****,” he snapped at a Montreal reporter.

Or ‘Harpering bullHarper’ as it is appearing more and more on Facebook and Twitter.

Since when are citizens allowed to use handcuffs in a citizens arrest anyways? Is that not a little extreme? they aren't police, that's kidnapping.

I'm wondering if that's why she wasn't charged with a crime. He basically assaulted her when all he had to do was pull out a smart phone and record her, then approach and take a picture of her face. Then call the police and have them make the arrest.

Instead he's going to twist someones arm behind their back and place them in handcuffs? Good luck Mr. Leef I wouldn't be surprised if this woman files criminal charges.

It all makes sense now. He thinks he's a fucking MMA tough guy. Probably has a drawer full of affliction shirts. He reads to much MMA media and thinks assaulting people is acceptable.

Good luck Mr. Leef why is a trained fighter using submission holds on a Canadian citizen? When they could have taken a picture and called the police?

If anyone is curious his record is 0/2 he got knocked out and rear naked choked. Judging by that photo he needed to stop before he even started. Throwing punches like a 3rd grader.

It just might end up in Major MMA media, you never know. They love this citizens arrest shit. But it's usually guy on guy or girl beating guy for a robbery or some other sort of actual crime.

This one might not be received so well.

The fact he's on Canada's MMA caucus also might play a part in getting the story some traction.
