Election 2015

the cons were wiped completely only a few elections back...and managed to come back...I think the liberals will too..
Progressive Conservative Party
Elected Members Number of Candidates Number of Valid Votes Percentage of Popular
2..............................295......................... 2,186,422................................16 percent
I can't vote liberal when they continue to show bad governance before they even get into power. C-51 was a horrible idea, Mulcairs party is stronger because of it, the Liberals have lost a lot of votes. Then there's the "Extremeist" muslim they had in the party till 11:30 last night. Telling people to kill themselves, their parents should have had abortions, and she doesn't like looking like a "lesbian".

This person was running for the liberal party of Canada. These were things not said 10 years ago, but 4 years ago. In 2011. Hardly long enough ago to be swept under the rug. They didn't even vet her at all.

Yet they didn't want Jodi Emery to run, not that I particularly thought it was a good idea but a better one then a member telling folks to commit suicide because they don't agree on Israel.

Edit: how fucking awful does that look that she's coming from Calgary where all the extremists are trying to get to Syria from.

The only real alternative right now is the NDP.

Now I'm not saying they're the greatest, but in a stratigegic vote, the only true threat to conservative ruling is the NDP.

Jr, seems easily misled. Doesn't appear to stand up for much of anything and seems to go with the flow. He comes across as desperate while making mega promises for spending, which doesn't make any sense to me due to our current economy slipping into recession.

The cons and libs can make all of the promises for spending they want, but it's all BS. They don't have the money to fulfill their promises and Harpco admits it by stating his home improvement tax break won't roll out till mid way through the next mandate if elected.

Don't buy into promises of spending, if they send you cheques funded by your tax dollars just say thanks and know it's just to buy your vote. Don't let a few bucks lead you astray.

The cons have proven themselves, the libs have proven themselves. So give the only other viable competition your vote to ensure the Cons don't get another term.

It is interesting that Benjamin Perrin, the pm's lawyer, confirms that Ray knew what Nigel did...tighter and tighter and tighter....
Novak has now been caught lying in his deposition.

Will there be immediate charges or will the RC's "investigate" for possible charges all of the way through the election?

I bet on the latter, the RC's owe Harper one after he wrapped up legislation in a budget bill to absolve the RC's of wrongdoing.

This is what I have been waiting for...Harper's lies and deception are coming back to bite him in the ass, at the most opportune time. I think reporters should refuse to write anything about his campaign promises until he comes clean about Duffygate. Every question posed to him at every opportunity should be about who knew what, and when. It's going to be kinda hard running an election campaign when no one hears your message.

It's already happening, yet no matter what the question is he replies with the same canned talking points.

Even though it has been undisputed in court that a large amount of people working in his office knew about the whole issue, repayment scheme and cover up, he still replies to questions like "will Novak be fired" with "there are two people responsible and those two are being held accountable".

Well that's not true either, Wright is not being charged, he's in court as a witness so how is he being held accountable? He's not, he's being protected and is still serving the PMO via testimony that is clearly false.

In any other proceedings Wright and Novak would have been barred from communication, Wright should have been banned from having any contact with anyone inside the PMO until the trail was over.

Now he just looks like an adviser saying shit like he was in contact with Novak very recently. What do they have to be in contact about? Why is the PMO office still in contact with someone that caused so much bullshit?

I'm having trouble understanding why Duff was charged with bribery and Wright wasn't.

One wrote the cheque and the other cashed it. They both should've been charged.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive...

Nigel lost his job...he's been held accountable...come on....

I like the line I don't accept the premise of that version of events.....deny, delay, die...he will keep saying the same thing until the trial is over and then just keep on like nothing happened...

And now we run into another Harpco statement and subsequent reversal that led to the inevitable cover up.

Did Nigel Wright quit or was he fired?

Well there's the million dollar question. Answer? The RCMP are illegally working under the direction of the pmo rather than serving Canadians. High ranking RCMP will also be implicated in this mess before it's over. I just hope someone has the balls to call a real investigation after Oct.19.

What's funny about the whole thing is Duffy is just as collusive as the rest of them, he was just smarter about it....it's stating to look like he was right...he's not going down alone...hahahahahahaha. FUCK YOU HARPER!!!
Duff was definitely using loop holes and grey areas to pad his wallet, no doubt there and that doesn't sit well with me. Was it illegal? I'm not sure yet because that still hasn't been proven.

Is it wrong to take advantage of the system at the taxpayers expense? Absolutely but corps do it legally everyday because they can. Without breaking laws we can just look at them as dicks through moral police eyes and try to change the system to close the loop holes.

Wright has admitted in testimony that the PMO office didn't think it was illegal, but saw it as something that would hurt their brand. They then forced Duff to repay expenses quickly to squash the Deloitte audit and whitewash the report. If he refused, it appears as though he'd be booted from the senate.

The email train and content of the emails paint a very different picture than the one Wright is trying to convey in court, it actually looks like the party went into self protection mode at all costs without even knowing if Duff did anything illegal at all. The senate hadn't even finished having a review done of his expenses before the PMO office started to force Duff to repay.

On the fence with Duffs charges from a legal perspective.
