Ebb flow vs soil (tent growing)

I was wondering what would be a better to run and the pros and cons of both. I was thinking of simple design for a tent. 12 plants under a 1000 watt for flowering. Now I assume soil is messy and has its cons and was wondering if it a good idea to run ebb and flow in a tent. If so my questions are... How often does the water have to be changed in a Ebb flow and when changing the water wouldnt this put stress on the plants by having to move them when u change the water? Is it EBB and flow really that much greater than soil in rusults? What are your opinions.

I have grown in both and I've been an ebb & flow guy for years now. It doesn't stress my plants at all to change my reservoir.

I put the tray on top of the cinder blocks instead of resting in on the res. like some do. As long as the res isn't supporting the tray there isn't any need to move the plants.

I start them in veg in rockwool cubes. When they move into the flowering room I take off the wrapping and put them onto a tray in my flowering room that is setup the same except it has hydroton to allow more root space. From that point on, they are immobile. But all during veg I can move them as often as I want.

My best friend uses soil and i do hydro, he always tells people what i have to do is a bitch and in reality all i do is change the res every 2 weeks and it takes like 30 minutes TOPS! then i just put nutes in test ph and boom plants are up and running.

My friend makes his Tea compost for his soil every 3 days filling up a container (about the same size as my reservoir) and carrying it to his plants and watering them by hand, which he always complains about. Then you have flushing you to put 5 gallons of water in a 2 gallon pot..

now you tell me which one sounds like a bitch to do:hump:

This go around we will see if my hydro out does his.. he has 10 plants under a 600 i have 7 under a 400 watt.

Heres some pics of the hydro bro.. i yield almost a pound on this harvest under a 1000 watt..

sorry for the rambling, just high off this tangerine kush:weed::weed:

later
