My current base setup:
3x3 GG Tent
Spider Farmer SE5000 480W LED grow light
AC Infinity 6" Inline Fan with carbon filter and smart controller
Multiple AC Infinity Fans (REALLY want to change these to oscillating type)
This planned grow:
Seeds: Anesia Seeds Auto Deep Jealousy
Just 2 plants this time (always done 4 before)
Pots: 3.9 Gallon Autopots but I "might" start the seeds in solo cups ( I realize there is a lot of debate on transplanting of autos)
Typically on soil grows, I have always used some sort of Fox Farm product mixed with perlite BUT I have also always needed to do a lot of additional nutrients fed when I water them to get through all the grow cycles. I really don't want to have to put nutrients in the main water reservoir as that takes away my ability to do water and cal mag only some waterings and specific nutrients on others. I keep seeing things about soils (living?) that can (for the most part) take you through the whole grow and just using tap water without much concern over Ph levels of the water. Was thinking maybe a layered approach where the bottom 1/3 would be full strength soil and then the middle would be maybe a 50/50 with the main soil mixed with something not so hot and then a top layer that wouldn't burn even a seedling. I realize with the autopots that I have to let the roots get well established before turning it on since they will now bottom feed instead of top feed. So... any recommendations on the best soil for these goals would be? I've heard some good things about Coast of Maine? Also, with these goals in mind, would I need to still amend the soil at some point with something like a tea or something? The whole bottom feeding thing is a new concept for me and as usual, I am scared of screwing chit up. I've never done autoflowers before nor have I ever used autopots before. I guess apparently I run my lights a lot more throughout the whole grow with autoflowers? I've heard 20 on and 4 off for the whole damn grow??? That's wild. LOL
Thanks!!!!
