Marijuana abuse also has the potential to promote cancer of the lungs and other parts of the respiratory tract because it contains irritants and carcinogens9,11. In fact, marijuana smoke contains 50 to 70 percent more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than does tobacco smoke12. It also induces high levels of an enzyme that converts certain hydrocarbons into their carcinogenic form—levels that may accelerate the changes that ultimately produce malignant cells13. Marijuana users usually inhale more deeply and hold their breath longer than tobacco smokers do, which increases the lungs' exposure to carcinogenic smoke. These facts suggest that, puff for puff, smoking marijuana may be more harmful to the lungs than smoking tobacco. i

Piss-off, you fucking prick. Doom and gloom specialist motherfucker.

While you're reading about the cannabis-cancer link, try reading about all the other cancer-giving materials... like the sun. I truly believe that if you are going to get cancer then you will get it, some form of it at least. Try reading more about cancer itself, before spreading your negativity.

Blackout, was it you who referrered to the old bill as the filth? We call them that too.
that was me skunk,i used to live with some kiwis and they were bad boys, and it was a favourite saying,so i picked it up from them, among other habits those crazy kiwis have,is it legal in the u.k to buy seeds or do you have similar laws to oz.
i know canada has a few,any good u.k ones, always looking for something new to try,and the filth is a good word for some of those pricks they are worse than the crims some of them.
any way have a cool yule ".

It's legal to buy seeds. I can buy any strain I want, if they haven't got it in stock they'll order it for me. the shop sells everything you need to grow the weed.

i have seen some aussie seeds on other sites but not one seed bank that i know of in oz,you would think the laws would be similar,as we are based on the english legal system i think, and we are part of the commonwealth for gods sake.
that does not stop me ordering from o.s i may try an english one,as holland is on the aussie customs bad list,i had some from canada and apart from being fucked around i got some in the end.
i can get lots of clones from folk but bugs sometimes come with with them,so i prefer to grow from seed and do my own cloning.
sorry about your stolen crop man ,and someone close to your family is hard to take.good luck with your new venture, merry xmas blackout.:blsmoke:

I've noticed in the past that Australians tend to be very similar to ourselves in terms of attitude and personality. In my City we have a large Australian work force, and lots of Australian pubs that serve things like roo burgers and crocodile.

It seems hard to believe how different our three countries (the U.S., Oz, U.K.) are in terms of laws. My country has to be the strangest. After downgrading cannabis from B to C, we then decide to put the sentencing UP on supply. You will actually get more time for dealing cannabis than you will for steroids, even though they are the same drug-class.

there is actually over 400 known carconigens (no i do not use spell check or a dictionary) in marijuana. Most of them don't turn into there carconigens until they burn. But if you think about it you breathe in worse stuff everyday from the enviroment. so smoke bud.

That may be correct, but you're leaving out a major factor. Most tobacco smokers go through a pack or two of ciggarettes a day. How many people do you know that go through 20-40 joints in one day? Nobody. So it adds up. imo, in the long run, marijuana may be more harmful to your lungs then tobacco...but you'd have to take two people, one who smokes one to two joints a day, and one who smokes one to two ciggarettes a day...the marijuana smoker may end up having more respitory problems then the tobacco smoker. Now take that same pot smoker, and line him up with your average tobacco smoker who smokes 20-40 ciggarettes a day, and you'll see why your information provided above is leaning way to far to one side. Besides, tobacco smokers do take considerably more ammount of puffs in a lifetime then you're average pot head. :hump: :eyesmoke:

I can smoke 20 joints a day... depends how much you put in the joints. I like 0.3g.

To harp on about which drugs are good and which are bad is ludicrous. Dying is inevitable, to spend our time thinking about the different ways we can die and their apparent causes is a waste of time.

You should think about living. Drugs are good.

YOU KNOW when something is bad because you are programmed from a very early age on what is right and what is wrong. JUST SAY NO (to drugs)! Drugs don't destroy anybody's lives, people do.

I believe that the main cause of cancer in the world is STRESS, everything else is merely by-the-by.

Dying is inevitable,
c'mon bro.... really... that argument is used whenever somebody has nothing to say.... it's like admitting defeat...

it's the same as saying "it's all part of god's plan"

or it's the same as droppig a "nuclear bomb"

catch my drift...?

I placed a comma after it to explain myself.

You cannot beat death, no matter what fairy tales mankind invents to make the passing easier. If you mean admitting defeat within the argument then I don't understand.

After saying it I placed a comma then continued. I believe what I said afterwards explains myself. I was merely trying to point out that talking about the different ways you can die, then thinking about those ways... You must understand how much stock i put in the power of the mind, how it is responsible for maybe up to 90% of ailments. Healthy mind, healthy body. To relate death to something I consume a lot of is not something I want to believe. It questions my faith, if you like...

What I don't understand is how members of a cannibas forum are discouraged from getting involved, asking questions and promoting use. Sure, a person may ask a question before doing any sort of research or reading, how does it help anything to ridcule this person?? They should simply be encouraged and directed to an appropriate post. It is a real buzz kill to read about someones bitching. Anyway, thats all I have to say for now.
