In my experience with my hydro setup, some plants explode with roots and some dont but I can count on "mostly" the same yield from them whether they do or not. I can say that my root mass has never been a gauge in what my yield will be when flowered out.
I used to run organics as well as Floranova and I have found better results running a sterile res as well. If you dont run a chiller (which I never have) you can get away with higher res temps too with a sterile res. Less worry of root temps, slime, stink etc. Its just lower maintenance all together and I enjoy that style of growing.

@PetFlora I'd love to see you run a sterile res one run and see if you like the difference from your current organics.
Keep it simple with a basic 3 part synthetic nute and some pk boost for late bloom, tap water and a little H2o2.

My nutrients line has more bottles of additives that supposedly help with growth, but all I use is the bases. My feeds are 400-550 ppm (0.9-1.1ec). No Kelp, no bennies and no Humics.

keep it simple here too. GH maxibloom, no additives, and either bennies (currently) or a sterile res (HTH pool shock).
