Sounds good...
I just don't understand why you ph down to 6 all the time, on soil 6,5 is just fine.
Afaik, soil tends to get a low ph using it for a long time, so specially for mothers I wouldn't ph'd that much...

No problem max. that was just what I was reading. I will take a good growers advice and just PH it at 6.5. So how much water do you think I should be watering these 5 gallons everytime. Do you think 2 gallons is enough?

5.8 is perfect for hydroponics, but 6.5 is better on soil...

I can't tell you the exact amount of water or nutrient solution you should use, but everytime you water them, try to give them enough so that 10-20% of what you fill in runs out at the bottom, I guess those pots are really big so you will not need to water them very often the next days later on I recomend to water every second day...

The first few times before you water again after you put any plant in a bigger pot, you can let them dry out a little bit, this will stimulate them too root faster into the new soil, 'couse the new soil dryes out later than where allready roots are... I hope you understand the point I'm not very good with English :D

I am going to give the plants about 1 Gallon of water every time I water, The first watering I did about 1 1/2 gallons and there was about 20% run off, I think that 1 gallon should be right on.

I feel like it will take about 3 or 4 days for the plants to dry out judging upon the weight. I will make sure to let it dry out even more than usual so it stumulate root grow. I THINK THAT IS WHAT YOU WERE TRYING TO SAY.

One plant looks a little droppy, might just be shick though so I dont think I shoudl be concerned. The other two are looking perky but expect them to get a little droppy from shock. THAT IS NORMAL RIGHT?

Also the first tim I just gave it regular water. Should I water it with nutrients for my next water or just give it regular water for a little while. YOUR THOUGHTS ARE MOST APPRECIATED.

Pre fert soil should have enough nuts in it for at least a week, after a week give them slowly more and more nuts 'till you reach your usual dosage...

I came home and they look perky which is great. Even the droopy one.

One thing I notice is some of the plants tips curl up, which is strange to me because they all look perfectly healthy.

Also just some other questions about some of the stuff I noticed just looking at my plants.

So as far as the lower leaves, some of them seem to be yellow on the tips and I was wondering if it is ok to trim them? Also I know they are just going to get bigger and lights will not be able to get to the bottom leaves anymore, so is there some trimming that becomes involved?

As far as taking clones is it ok to do it cloes to the stalk or should I make sure I can go up a few nodes. THere are a few clones on the bottom that look perfect right now to cut but I am thinking I should either let them grow, or should I just clip them.

MAX I FEEL LIKE IT IS JUST YOU AND ME BUDDY!!!

I guess other People just want to see buds, not mother plants :D
I'm trying to help you and at the same time I'm practising my messed up English, so I have a double use of this thread^^

Don't trimm those leafs, not even if they are totally yellow, yellow leafs usually mean there is a N-deficit, but don't worry I guess this is from the flushing with just ph'd water, if it's not geting more just ignore it.

You maybe should post some Pictures of those curling leafs, usually leaf tops curl when you over fert after planting them in bigger pots with pre fert soil this can happen and it's no problem, it's just from all the nuts in the new soil.

When you take clones, the lowest ones you can take close to the stalk, maybe there won't come any more branches but the lowest ones you don't need anyway, when the mother allready has certain size its better to get rid of them for some reasons.
But in order to get a good mother, when ever you cut a clone, leaf there on node at the plant so you will get two new branches soon from this node, so there will be two clones too cut the next time, and when you leaf there one node each again, you will get 4... Everytime you cut above from a node, there usually should grow two new braches....

EDIT:
You should cut clones from the top of the stalk soon, you dont wan't mothers to become very tall...
People who don't have space for tall plants or just want 2 colas cut the head down once, or if they want even more colas per plant, they cut them down more often...
I don't recomend this for plants you are going to flower for a couple of reasons(needs more time and brings usually not more harvest are just 2 of them) but for mothers it's important to do it, so you get more branches for more clones to cut soon and they don't become too tall.

Ok Max, that sounds good. I took some clones today. One thing I did not understand is where you are saying to clip the clones, did you say right above a node?

Anyways I cut about 8 clones from 3 of my mothers and they look real pretty. I am going to post some pics in a little while. The clones that were in my dorm before I took them out and put them in some pots to be vegged.

What I was planning on doing was vegging those for a month. I am planning on leaving the clones that are in my clone dome for about a month until I am ready to flower.

When I flower I am going to flower 4 plants that have been vegged for a month and 8 clones from root.

So I am going to do one regular grow try and 8 of them I am going to try to do sea of green in small 1 liter pots. This should work for 1 600 watt light.

Yes I know its boring that flowering wont happen for another month but I will still keep some updated of whats going on.

I will have some pics soon of some of the operation.

Take a look at this... That's where you cut^^ a little bit above a node so from the node there will grow 2 new branches, no matter at what part of the plant...

I dind't try to tell you where exactly you are suposed to cut, I wanted to tell you that it's a good idea too take clones from the top of your mothers, so they will not grow too tall and you will be able to take much more clones soon...

Nice Max, I clipped them before you sent this picture but it is the same way that I did mine.

Now I guess we just pay the waiting game becuase I dont begin flowering till I come back from my vacation on the 1st of the year. My friend will be keeping an eye on the plants while i am gone.

Little piece of advice since I have grown blueberry from DJ short before. Eventhough the genetics is roughly 80% indica and 10% sativa, that strain is really sensitive to nutrients and some forms of spraying for insects, mildew, and fungus. For instance your tips have a little nutrient burn, so modify your nutrient cocktail if you have not done so already. At times the leaves twist and turn due to stress. Take it as a blessing concerning the sensitivity DJ Short Blueberry, if you are doing something wrong to the plant it lets you know really quick. Good luck with your grow.

Thanks Calicat.....

I have heard from a lot of people that DJ short is a real light sensative plant and that it does not require a ton of nutrients. As of now I am giving it half the recomended dosages. It has also just gone through transplanting but they leaves were kind of like that before.

Maybe because of the nutrient burn at the tips i should bring it down to 1/4...

Any other suggestions you might have will help. I am planing on giving them molases during the flowering stage.

Also anything you can tell me about your experiences problems you ran into etc,

I have been spraying the foilage with regular water. I have not run into an insect problem, but how did you solve yours if you had one?

what is the best method you found cause I was going to do SOG.

And last HOW DID THOSE MO FOS TURN OUT?
