The wise Max speaks... I guess I should have just listened to you from the beginning. One guy told me to always just get one persons opinion and not to get a whole array. I got lost on the site and just saw so many different things and heard a lot of stuff. I would have to say that i am still a beginner and it is a good thing that I learn early though. I had to test myself I guess and now I will know what to do for the next time. Lets hope it comes out well.

It will come out well, and your plants look just amazing :D

There are so many different ways to go for a nice harvest, it's not that I know allways "the best" thing to do, I just know a lot of options and I sometimes suggest some of them :joint:

I'm sad to have to leave Venezuela pretty soon, but even if I had much fun here with my two "Mc Gyver Style Indoor Grows", I'm glad about the fact that I will start my next grow with good Equip again back in Europe :weed:

I started to think about the height issue that I might have to face. So for the first time I busted out my measuring tape.

The Tallest Plant: About 13 inches (1 inch more than a foot) , the light is about 14 inches away from the top of the plant.
The Smalles Plant: About 3 1/2 inches, the light is about 23 inches away, a little less than 2 feet.

I was thinking of moving the smaller plants that were from rooted clone a little higher, but I would really just like to keep them the way they are. Do you think 2 feet is close enough for the smaller ones? Do you also think that 14 inches away from the top of the plant is far away enough. I am not feeling any heat when I put my hand over them.

Any Suggestions.

as long as you dont feel any heat th distance is fine...

It's better to put the small ones on top of anything, with the HPS closer you will get bigger buds and less steching plants

I decided to take some advice and I put the rooted clones on top of a box, now the canopy is about 18 inches for all the plants. I also moved the fan over and put that on a box so that it can be right on top of the canopy.

Its been about 14 days since I started to flower. I decided to give the ones that were vegged for 2 weeks a little haircut. CAN YOU LET ME KNOW IF YOU THINK I CUT TO MUCH OFF. I dont think I dude because now there are no lower fan leaves blocking some of the flowering buds.

It's not a good idea to cut or rip off leafs unless for fresh cut clones to prevent them from drying out a lot.

- Leafs do the photosynthesis and even the the buds need photosyntsis to grow.
- It's a little bit of unnecessary stress for the plant.
- Unless a leaf is completly dry allready, the plant still will recover liquids and nuts from it.

If you want to get more light to the lower buds, the next time rather use something like small clothespins to just make the big leafs or just some fingers hang down.
This means less stress, it allows still more Photosytesis and the plant doesn't loose anything what's stored un the leaf.

Well Max,
I was told by a few people who have done SOG that it is better to cut off the lower 1/3 of the plants after the 1st two weeks because it will take energy that was being used on the lower buds and bring it up to the top buds that are getting the most light.

I told you too to cut of the low 1/3 branches for SOG, this prevents fungus and makes plants concentrate on the important buds...
Sorry thought you cut off some leafs so lower buds are getting light, I guess missunderstood something...

yea im sorry max, i saw the the pics were not actually posted. Are these plants looking good for SOG, I am concerned that some of the lower nodes are stretching, whwat would you think, or are they just going to turn into a nice bud?? also how much talle you think they will get?

I am on DAY 19 OF FLOWER. I notice the buds starting to come out and you are able to start seing nugs forming.

The ones that have been vegged for two weeks on the left side seem like they are getting some fat buds.

The ones theat are on the right, that were straight from rooted clone, seem to still be getting buds but not not as fat as the others.

All of them were at the same canopy though because I propped the smaller ones up as you can see in the pictures before.

I thought I saw a small black bug flying around. I think it might be an aphid. WHAT SHOULD I USE TO GET RID OF IT. From what I hear DJ SHORT BLUEBERRY isnt very good with niem oil or chemicles. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT TO USE, just in case more come.

I have also noticed that some of the plants all seem to be the same height. Should I just put them all in the same row and make them all even, AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PIC THEY ARE ALL JUMBLED AROUND.

I have noticed since the buds have started to really sprout I see the humidity rising. I have started to leave the filter on all day. It is standing at about 56. Is that going to develop mold?

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF THE PICS!!

I noticed the humidty was starting to get up to about the mid 60's. So i decided to take the plants out and clean the room and the trey it is in. Already the humidity is going down and they are looking good.

I have come up with a better way to water so there is not much residue on the trey. I think I am going to get some milk crates and water each one individual on top of the crate and let it drain into a resovoir. More work but i dont mind.

recolecting the water that drains out sounds like a good idea to evoid humidity, but better don't reuse it for watering of other plants for a couple of reasons... i might be able to explain it when I'm not as stoned as I am atm :D I'll try it to explain shorlty anyway :D
Witch reusing the colectet nut solution, you may loose the balance of PH in the soil, you definitly loose the balance of different nuts, and you bring with it some salts/minerals to the roots again that might block them slowly and causes something like a little bit nute burn...
