Yes they do seem to be the same drivers I am using for the CXA3590s. They put out about 270mA at 88% efficiency. Should work great for your Veros :)

Thoughts on a dimmable driver or drivers that will power [2x] 3K CXA AB's....from lowest amperage available to 1.9A's?
Contemplated the HLG-80-42H that SDS is using, but don't need 2.1 amps! Even something that maxed out at 1.7 amps would be fine.....since that would give me about 125watts.

Can I dim any of the HLG 185's? I can always add more diodes later.......:) [Haven't read the datasheet before I ask that question, my apologies]

Finally putting together the CXA build. Gathering inspiration from SDS current stealth build. Found a case, that will fit a 5.88" x 12x sink from HTUSA. Going to run it in a 2x2 tent. Would like to grab up to 35 watts per sq. ft.

Are you working with the low voltage 3590s or are the 77v running that low of voltage @350ma?

Im really interested in underdriving 3590s but dont really have an idea how that affects voltage.

Can you drive 4 - cxa3590 @500ma and squeeze them onto the 500ma MW hlg-120h-c [300v max]?

Can i run each 3050 with -
PCD-40-1400B
as i see in data sheet - it's constant current.

Or can someone help me out - instead of LPC-60-1400, what are other options for dimmable driver?

I changed my mind - cheaper and better would be to go with VERO's 29!
2x VERO 29 - 3500k for all full cycle - seed to flowers.

and wich driver - same LPC-60-1400?
Any suggestions?
Maybe some is more effective?
Maybe i could drive those vero2 more better? Dunno :/

I am really confused, my head is buzzin from reading all evening info about drivers and led's.

i'm study a new lamp with 6 CXA3070 Z4, I must set to output in total 400W,
66.6 Watt each, i think at 1.7 Amp.
I do not know what is best to do if a power supply for each set of 3, or use separate power supplies.
in any case, which power supply would you recommend in the two different situations?
You could use the HLG-C 185 1400 to drive 3x 3070 @ 1.4amps each.
I'd suggest also adding some XM-L2 or XPL diodes to bring the series voltage up close to the drivers maximum where it will run at max efficiency.

I looked at the Meanwell 185-1050...and it seems like it would work? might even drive [3x] 3590's in a series?

Is there an Inventronics or Roal alternative. I would like to price a build with high end, for longest lasting light bongsmilie

Also, who has an opinion on best price point for running the 3590? I would love to run them a little softer, but it will be way expensive. At the moment, that isn't needed.

I was looking at the posted specs for the AB? bin of the next step down the 3070's. But I cannot find AB Bin's virtually anywhere.....help!

I am using the high voltage version so the Vf at 270mA is about 67. At 500mA they should be about 70V each, so 280Vf total which would be no problem for the HLG-120H-C500 :leaf:

Yes the CXA3070 or Vero29 would perform better for you than the 3050, with the 3070 Z2 bin having a slight advantage over the Vero29 on paper. You could power the Vero29 or the CXA3070 with these or you can get them from China for much cheaper if you have the time to wait. Both are 89-90% efficient and power factor corrected.

The LPC-60-1400 is a good driver for COBs but it has a relatively low efficiency (85%) and is not power factor corrected. No biggy, but Mean Well seems to be behind the curve on this particular driver.

You could use the PCD-40-1050 but not the PCD-40-1400 because the vF range is too low. They are power factor corrected but only 86% efficient.

Yes the HLG-185H-C1050 would be great for a pair of CXA3590s but could not fit 3. Great driver, power factor corrected, dimmable and 94% efficient.

For very high efficiency you can run the CXA3590 at 350mA and it is still reasonably priced (~$5/PAR W), similar to NON COB LEDs like the Cree XML2/XPL. If you go to 700mA, you get into the bargain range ($2-$3/PAR W) and at 1050mA $1.50-$2/PAR W very economical, tough to beat.

Yep I tested both of those linked and they are very similar, great performance. @Chronikool pointed out they are only $10 on Aliexpress I ordered one to test out but from the looks of it I suspect they are the non power factor corrected ones and I actually had one fail recently in a buddies grow room (originally came from SureDisplay on eBay)

Yes you can use the HLG-120H-C1050, HLG-120H-C1400, HLG-185H-C1050, HLG-185H-C1400 etc. all dimmable, all power factor corrected and all up to 94% efficient, awesome options except the high voltage issue might deter some DIYers
