dynatron went even lower than the sunon...

But...those numbers are at full fan speed. It sounds like a weedeater...a loud weedeater.

Turning it down to 7.5v quieted it down. Max temp rose to about 41c. Any lower fan speed and temps started climbing.

Will need to spend a bit more time with them before i figure out which i prefer. They both get the job done cooling a 150w cxa 3590. You've been warned of the weedeater at high speed though...i didn't know fans got that loud..lol.

Is that a 60mm fan? Those things are the worst...even louder than a crappy 90mm fan. I have coolermaster and noctua 140mm fans. very quiet :)

Originally I got a heatsink very similar the one you just showed. Can't remember the name on it though...oh well, but even though it worked for the 3590, it was just too much and I couldn't take it!

Liquid cooled! My daughter's gaming PC is liquid cooled. Works great and it is very quiet.

Cheers,
Mo
I almost went there mo..

But the good cooling numbers come with the double radiators like that one. Then its like $100 apiece. The coolers i picked up were only $25 apiece. Less problems to worry about...just the fan giving out which a thermostat can take care of

She has her own job and she bought it herself. I only helped on the assembly :)

She researched and then built an ultra gaming rig. She works for a game company and is required to play!
Even better..lol. That was my dream job at one point..professional gamer! Took me awhile to put the controller down, the modern warfare series almost sucked me back in. Lost a year of my life sniping kids..haha

The halo series on the og box was my shit in college......academic probation was the end result ;-)

The only thing I use my ps3 for nowadays is Netflix streaming.......fucking work and taxes.
I like where this thread is going!!

World Of Warcraft was my gaming heroin. Very few games now have the ability to phase me. I played a game called Rift - it most definitely landed me in academic probation at an earlier stage of my college career .

GTA was my Kryptonite. I wanted to start driving like that in real life! I can't even imagine how much time I spent staring at a screen! Now I am a farmer :)
LOL "Now I'm a farmer" haha that's epic right there...

I saw a bunch of the computer engineers playing that game during a past class. It reminds me a little of WarCraft. I'm assuming they took what was already standing and delivered an even more addicting game.

I enjoyed Black Ops but went to BattleField afterwards. Two different mediums of the same shade (killing). I'll occasionally play KillZone3 or CounterStrike Global Offense on the PS3 but games just don't have the same impact on me as they once use to.

NetFlix is heaven-sent.
