Dinafem blue cheese Budder is the golden mound in the glass dish

Think different budder is the white budder

the others i got locally.

I dont use a vaccuum but i have a very effective purging method.

Alot of people do not like budder but i love it. It is not hard to dab/ the taste is amazing.

in a jar it does not degrade fast. And again the taste is amazing :]

Blue cheese budder by far the most potent tasting bho ive ever smoked. smooth fullmelt with a nice fruity inhale with a blast of cheese right on the exhale and lingers right in your mouth. absolutely no way any solvent is left.

I know this, thank you lol. I cut her premature and yes the trichs were still very clear/decently milky and i ran it slightly wet. all contributing to the white color.

It is kind of a mix between all the non vacc methods.

I whip through all the big bubbles right aftter extraction as soon as the butanes gone.

I let it come back to room temp from the hotwater bath and then i scrape it into the center

I use a gas stove and i keep the oil at 90-95 degrees while the water around 130-140

My hot water bath has a completely sealed homemade o ring so no moisture evaporates out of my pot.

I let even small runs like a gram or 2 sit for a few hours. I have to constantly check my stove as i usually have to turn it on and off every 15 min or so to maintain temperature

Generally theres still bubbles in it, this is when i bake it at 150 for around 10-20 min depending on batch

Right when it looks like it is going to finish and shatter,

i remove it from the oven put it back on the stove and whip finish until right before it budders

i let it dry for an hour and i have the cleanest smoothest fullmelt

some people believe budder to have butane whipped into it, i believe that without a vaccuum my budder is the cleanest i can get

Do you use full nugs when you do your runs or trim? how many times do you whip your oil during your purge process?

honestly i dont run bho with trim at all. These batches were from my autos that didnt produce much. usually i do it with full nugs, but every harvest i use all the popcorn nugz through a run.
I dont really use sugar leaves. Alot may think its wasteful. I may leave some but i like pure bud runs. I dont run BHO just to have it, i run it for quality and taste.

You can tell after a few runs of buddering when, and right before when it will budder.
i whip consistently and at a decent speed horizontally and vertically until the sheen of the oilyness starts to diminish.
You can actually see the glossyness start to fade. right when this happens i remover it and let it cool down to a budder from there to avoid overdrying.

I have actually experimented in putting it right into ice water bath to prevent the heat from continuing to dry it. Ive kept it from buddering a few times, it remains creamy and waxy not like its drier sister the budder.
I just like budder lol

i wouldn't whip it.... if you dont have a vac chamber, you can always do a secondary solvent, which if you put in the freezer for 24 to 48 hours it will separate out the fats waxes and lipids that the butane picks up. then filter it into a pyrex pan and have a fan blow over it gently this will speed up the evaporation of your solvent, then after a few hours scrape and dab

i would recommend 190 proof 95% everclear as a secondary solvent

in this picture one of these piles was done with nugs the other 2 with trim... can you pick out which one was the nug run and which 2 where trim?

old pic i keep this around when people talk down on trim runs, they just dont know how to properly run material

i think both the whipping and vacuum techniques can be amazing. or they can be butchered..

its all about having good material, and a solid tech..

whipping prime fresh buds will for sure be a sweet process.

also the same goes for awesome trims.

i love both end products. but i like to make big thick chunks of cookies, so i prefer vacuum :]

havent figured out how to do that without yet.. and good purge..

wonder how that one tastes!

also whipping breaks town terpenes which are the flavor of the oil.
thats why i whip very shortly and most of my purging the oil is left untouched. I whip it for a few minutes or less at the end because that is how i get the consistency i enjoy. also for me it adds a level of smoothness unmatched by much else. to each their own i believe.

as for your picture i believe the middle one to be the nug run, but they all look so similiar. Maybe this run i will try my hand at trim again.

Do you use purely trim for your runs or a mix of trim and budz?

If i had a vaccuum then i would be rippin cookies all day too haha.
your right though it is technique and material.
Ive actually ran an iso run of my buddy cotton candy harvest and it came out as gold as my blue cheese budder and tasted amazing.
That being said that is the ONLY isohash ive ever enjoyed smoking lol back in the days before i had the balls for butane.

My buddy calls that pic my mashed potatoes lol but he said its the smoothest dab hes ever had. out of a little localmade recycler too. slight fruity background with some heady earthy tones. a little fresh taste too bc i ran it like 3 days into drying :p

correct me if I'm wrong but using trim would just add extra plant material to the oil, so using a secondary solvent to winterize the oil would get rid of the plant matters and oils. This would make using the trim just as good as using whole nugs?

On the whipping process have you ever fully purged your product and then whipped it into a budder?

one on the left is nug run, and no i run nugs, trim, and scrap and the bottom of the plant all separate

yea maybe if you dont know what your doing thats why you see green BHO, and i rarely use a secondary solvent in fact i havent winterized anything in about 3 runs

Hey Twitch sometimes my bho runs come out on the greener side, why do you think that is? I do the long soak method and even then it's not in there longer than 5 mins, usually about 2 mins. Is it material age related? Happens sometimes with nugs but not very often compared to when I do trim runs. I do grind my material but not into dust.

More broken surface area is exposed when trim is ground thus more green is extracted.

I personally don't grind trim or larf at all, packing the tube breaks it up.

That's what I thought too but I figured with bho I wouldn't have to worry about that as much as say a ISO wash. Doesn't happen as much when I use nugs and I grind those the same as the trim.. plus I know other people like Kaze grind their material and it looks delicious lol.
