I made this yesterday. I used 1 tbs of ground, decarbed bud for every table spoon of Coconut butter.

It will definitely make you forget your problems. It will also make you forget where you put your car keys and what you went to the kitchen for :) I couldn't function that well and had a lot of work to do :) I was glad when it wore off. The key is that it works great!
Nice! Share some pics of some edibles if you have any.

I can't see any real difference... Coconut oil is probably better for you and it's an MCT Mid Chain something or other so it is processed very quickly by the body.
Thanks, also I could only find 1oz of high quality so that's what I'm going to use. Should I double the amount of coconut oil then?

Personally, when dealing with edibles I like to know approximately how much weed I am consuming. Getting too high really sucks, for me anyway.. So What I did was grind then decarb in the oven.. Then I used one tablespoon of ground bud for every tablespoon of coconut butter.. I add the mixture to a glass jar and put that inside a half filled pot of hot water for a few hours.. It should be hot, but you don't want your mixture to boil.. Then strain and refrigerate.

By using these measurements I figure that if I eat one tablespoon of the finished product it would be similar to smoking one tablespoon of weed or a nice big bowl.. Of course there are many variables. Start by eating just a very small amount. You may be surprised at how medicated you can get off the smallest amount. I think i ate about 1/4 TEASPOON last time and had a hard time getting through the day.

I'd say start with a small batch. Grind up a few grams and see how it goes. It's simple to make so you can always make another batch..

Remember, you can always eat more, but you can never eat less :)

put the herb in n mix oil till muddy consistency then add water.
coconut is better then butter because it's easier for your body to absorb it, therefor more of the canna oil is absorbed.
i put bud (in strainer bag) back in clean water after wringing out and heat for few minutes wishing it around. wring it out again, you will be surprised how much was still in there.

Thanks for the recipe! I used 1/4 oz of high grade buds, decarboxylated (sp?) it, cooked it for about 5 hours in the crock pot with about a 1/2 cup of coconut oil, strained it, let it cool overnight. Removed it, reheated and strained it again this morning, let it solidify again and then I made some chocolates.

Just tried making coconut oil 4 hours on warm with 2 oz bad results. Oil still white water was brown...will have to try this method. Any idea why it never turned green? Not high enough temp?

No expert at this, I've only done it once myself but with good results. I noticed on my crockpot that warm was a little too low and "low" was a little too hot... so I would irregularly switch it to low for a few minutes to let it heat up a little then switch it back down to warm to get a mild bubbling going on the sides of the crock. I'd try cooking it some more if you still have the raw material you used. If not give some it a try, it might kick ass anyways. Mine was just a light green color and the water was brown. One of my chocolates which work out to about 1/3 a gram each of bud will get you wasted.

Figured out crock pot has the same issue. Just low over boiled it so I put it on low till simmer then finish off on warm did the trick. Thanks for the info.

From my research it is best to decarb bud first in the oven.. Make sure it is ground very fine. Then the warming process is really just a process of combining the oil and the cannabinoids.

By using a jar inside a water bath then you reduce any risk of burning the oil... I forget exactly how I did it last time, if i used water or not.. don't think I did. You could check my previous posts. It turned out great.
