Just tried making coconut oil 4 hours on warm with 2 oz bad results. Oil still white water was brown...will have to try this method. Any idea why it never turned green? Not high enough temp?

I make mine on low for 12 hours. It boils i would say for probably 8 or more of the hours. I think the crockpot low setting runs at 200-220 degrees but not to sure about that.

I used this as a general recipe, they have to be kept in the fridge or they'll get gooey and melty quickly.

I melt a few chocolate chips in with it and add a pinch of salt too, the last time I made them I added 1/8 a teaspoon of cherry flavoring too. What I did last time was I made the chocolate in a glass measuring cup inside a hot pan of water, then it was easy to pour it into the molds. Seemed easier and less chance of burning the chocolate. The first time I tried it, I heated half the chocolate too high and it turned into the consistency of frosting. But it was still great in some brownies. :-)
